Brussels sprouts rule. We roast them with hazelnut oil garlic and some red wine vinegar. Most holidays. I had them boiled. Once. Never again
Decades ago my mom used to make the frozen ones sometimes, I think by boiling... In any case, I fully believe the articles that say there have been great advances in breeding them for taste since then, and that the variety of ways they are commonly cooked well helps.
It's just hard to overcome a youth of hating the thought of them
