Yeah, it’s not quite up there with a Last Word but as a sweeter drink, it’s quite good for a summer cocktail!

Today’s cocktail is a nice, simple Sidecar!

2 oz Cognac
3/4 oz Cointreau
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Simple Syrup

I skipped the sugar rim for me.

Delicious!

Strawberry negroni tonight. Equal parts strawberry-infused campari, gin, and sweet vermouth, garnished with a strawberry. It's gentler than a regular negroni but still delicious.

Sounds delicious! Did you infuse the Campari yourself or was this something you ordered out?

Did it myself. Threw some strawberries into some Campari, let it sit a week, and then, well, down the hatch.

This evening’s cocktail is the Vesper! (I’d wear a tuxedo like Bond but sadly mine is at the tailor )

• 3/4 oz Cocchi Americano
• 1 oz Vodka

What's your preferred gin for it? For my taste, choice of gin is critical for a martini.

I’m partial to either The Botanist (which this is) or Tanqueray. I also like Plymouth.

Not going by the Fleming original recipe from Casino Royale then?

• 3 measures of Gordon's gin
• 1 measure of vodka
• ½ measure of Kina Lillet

Although you might need to use Gordon's export for the proper flavour
