Yeah, it’s not quite up there with a Last Word but as a sweeter drink, it’s quite good for a summer cocktail!@TiQuinn, Division Bells tonight. It's a nice drink, especially for a strangely warm night here in SF, but it's not a Last Word. Tasty, maybe not delightful.
Sounds delicious! Did you infuse the Campari yourself or was this something you ordered out?Strawberry negroni tonight. Equal parts strawberry-infused campari, gin, and sweet vermouth, garnished with a strawberry. It's gentler than a regular negroni but still delicious.
Did it myself. Threw some strawberries into some Campari, let it sit a week, and then, well, down the hatch.Sounds delicious! Did you infuse the Campari yourself or was this something you ordered out?
What's your preferred gin for it? For my taste, choice of gin is critical for a martini.
- 1 1/2 oz Gin
- 3/4 oz Cocchi Americano
- 1 oz Vodka
I’m partial to either The Botanist (which this is) or Tanqueray. I also like Plymouth. What's your preferred gin for it? For my taste, choice of gin is critical for a martini.
Not going by the Fleming original recipe from Casino Royale then?View attachment 418035
This evening’s cocktail is the Vesper! (I’d wear a tuxedo like Bond but sadly mine is at the tailor)
Apologies on the pic - I took a pic after a couple of sips already!
- 1 1/2 oz Gin
- 3/4 oz Cocchi Americano
