More "over done."

I actually think they will not show it.Do we expect that SNW will end with Pike's accident, or will they leave that as something that happens between SNW and TOS?
That's a good question. Based on when it's supposed to happen, as it was in TOS, it would be a bit of a time skip to get to it. That said, they have played more than a little fast & loose with that timeline anyway.Do we expect that SNW will end with Pike's accident, or will they leave that as something that happens between SNW and TOS?
Do we know that the show is ending with Pike handing over to Kirk? I love the show, but I don't generally seek out news about it outside of this thread!Besides, he is canonically present to hand the Enterprise over to Kirk. So the accident happens after that.
What is the source for that?Besides, he is canonically present to hand the Enterprise over to Kirk. So the accident happens after that.
I think they have to show it. It's the defining event of who Pike is, and all his optimism and humanity that we see in SNW exist in an implicit contrast with what he becomes. Now, I'm fully aware that some trek series have had anticlimactic endings, but not paying this off would be up there with the worst of them (Enterprise).Do we expect that SNW will end with Pike's accident, or will they leave that as something that happens between SNW and TOS?
The Original Series episode "The Menagerie" when they visit Pike on a Starbase. I think it is in Part 1, but could be mistaken. Kirk mentions he met "Fleet Captain" Pike when he took command of the Enterprise. What is the source for that?
We’ve seen it though.I think they have to show it. It's the defining event of who Pike is, and all his optimism and humanity that we see in SNW exist in an implicit contrast with what he becomes.
