    D&D 3E/3.5 A Tribe of Nasty Saviars (3.5)

I will be the first to admit that I don't know much about this CR stuff, but, is a Challenge Rating of 2 enough for something that has 2d10 HD, a movement rate of 40', +6 Natural Armor, stat boosts of +4 STR and +2 CON and Improved Grab? Ouch! I wouldn't want to be ambushed by these things.

    Archer Clerics

Putting aside the suggestions others have made (all helpful as usual from the knowledgeable people here, I might add)... I have a question for you: if your group has "forced" you to make this change in your character, which wasn't part of your original plan for your character, and after seeing...

full bab and good will saves for a prc?

There's a feat (?) that lets a character emulate the dwarven race in order to gain a class normally restricted to dwarves... but I forget what it is. It is in Races of Stone I assume.

    Invisible Edlritch Glaive Lock

I have to agree... True Seeing starts to become a bit common as you climb levels, and your opponents will see you regardless of your invisibility. Heck, even your fellow warlocks can get See the Unseen, right? And...someone please correct me here, but once you attack while you are invisible...

How would I create this item?

Well, I am not really sure of all the particulars, but I think there is a feat called Craft Construct ( SRD:Craft Construct - D&D Wiki ) and then maybe your DM could price the construct controlling ring based on the price of a Ring of Elemental Command. Just a starting point I guess.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 - Discount shop to buy D&D books?

Good advice, and, ask to talk to a manager and give him or her your email and phone number. Ask nicely to be notified when a certain book or books are available. A player in our group did this very thing at a Half Price Books nearby and the manager called him when a Spell Compendium showed up...

    Derogatory Term for Halflings

I was thinking along the lines of something more "vermin-like", to indicate their sub-human status: Mice, Bugs, Little Rats, Monkeys Or some sort of pejorative nonsense term: Shinnies, Pokes, Squealers, Grubbers

    Creating your own world.

You might bounce on over to this thread http://www.enworld.org/forum/plots-places/284160-orea-world-its-people.html and have a look at how the author has organized his campaign world's development. I found it to be really interesting stuff.

Has one of the people in your campaign ever died in real life?

My experience with this subject is a bit different: I joined an established group that had been playing together for easily 20 years...roughly since they were all in high school (we're all in our mid 30's now). I learned that their friend had passed away when they were all in their early20's...

Worst fantasy names in our Real World

Western Pennsylvania also has a Saltsburg, Claysville, Turkeyfoot, Cranberry, Plum and Slippery Rock, all pretty lame sounding fantasy gaming place-names. I like McKee's Rocks, PA though...sounds like some sort of interesting geological feature with a bit of mystery about it...

    multiplication or addition?

LOL then we're either A) goofy or B) trendsetters! yeh, I'd probably go with A.

    Henchman idea?

The gnome Illusionist is a good suggestion. I too thought of a gnome, since the locale is the Yatil Mountains, and a jester ...but I thought of a bard. He has either been forced into service recently (captured in a raid or just grabbed while traveling a bit too near the place), or is the lone...

    Sorcerer/Waizard and Cleric spells

Quite true...and even with those illegal PDFs, they are just copies of the source books that someone has scanned and converted to PDF format. As such, you can't even use the Search feature of Acrobat Reader to find a certain spell, since the whole document is just one big image. Also, the...

    multiplication or addition?

lol Yes there is the audible delight of rolling lots of dice, that is true. Thanks to all for showing the math and explaining the reasoning behind rolling multiple dice rather than rolling one and multiplying. I guess the DM and our group thought that as long as the rolls are done in the...

    Ad crashing Firefox?

Has anyone else had a problem with the sidebar ad currently running? http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/3189/enworld08242010.jpg It shows up (as illustrated in the screenshot above) cut off and eventually the script fails and crashes Firefox (ver. 3.5.11) Just curious if anyone else has had...
