How big would you say the round tables you typically see at GenCON or Origins are?
Would you say 60" (5') or 72" (6') diameter?
I'm making a custom round mat to use on such tables and want to leave space for the player's but have a perfect round mat to fill the middle of the table for...
my son-in-law and I are also interested in creating an active character sheet for the tablet droid devices.
Once you have a basic working character sheet the big thing for us is to identify and code the most common buff spells and provide a pop-up menu to allow the player to select an affect...
Hi All,
I thought I had seen that sneak attack damage, curse damage, and hunter's quarry were also maxed on a critical hit.
But I can't find that now and wonder if I was dreaming it or just following a rumor.
What's the rule, and can you point me to the reference for this?
thanks -
Hi all,
Does anyone have a link to, or can post the "learn to play" rules that wizards created or that you've created?
I am teaching a new group of players to play 4th edition and would like to have something I can give them that will help them come up to speed quickly?
thanks all!
My first reaction to the article was that the concept is just a little too packed with all these epic characters from the history of Eberron.
I think if I included this in a campaign it would be more of a question of just who these people are and why they seem to have links to these epic...
Well I hate to be wrong, but don't mind admitting when I am, especially if it helps clarify for a larger group.:o
I just got off the phone with WotC Customer Service. While I realize they aren't Canon, the guy I spoke with there was very confident that iterative uses of warlock infernal class...
This will definitely be one of those things that requires some official example/explanation from wizards.
In my opinion the sited page doesn't address the question, which is focused on what is meant by "different sources". If "different uses of the same power" are different sources to you...
The 4th bullet in the explanation of temporary hit points starting on page 293 of the PHB clearly states that ""If you get temporary hit points from different sources, use the higher value as your temporary hit point total instead of adding them together."
It's pretty clear that there are...
Geez...
first, I'm not trying to work the system. Apologies if it seemed that way. I prefer a balanced game that's not broken when I play.
Having said that, sometimes different words are used on purpose, even if they have close meanings so when it's not clear I don't think people should be...
There are several powers that say you "gain" temporary hit points.
Last night, after some discussion, our group landed on this understanding (taking into account the rule that temp HP from different sources don't stack).
1. When a PC gains THP (temp HP), they are added to existing THP from...
All classes that attack with weapons are granted a proficiency bonus (+3 for daggers for example).
I'm building a warlock and just realized that even with his 20 con, he's going to be attacking with at +5 to attack rolls, but other classes with weapons and a similar primary stat bonus of +5...
Hi All,
I read on page 295 that of the PHB that if you fail a death saving throw three times before taking a rest, you die.
So this means that you die if you fail 3 death saves during an encounter, not per time you are unconscious?
Curious if others are reading it the same way?
Anyone...
Spoiler alert - don't read further if you are a player in KotS...
the dragonshield kobolds have the ability to shift 1 square as an immediate reaction whenever an adjacent enemy shifts away or moves adjacent to them.
How are you handling this situation when a PC moves next to the kobold but...
We ran the first two KotS encounters tonight on a hex mat.
Overall it was much easier in my opinion, and it felt very natural for the bursts and blasts to work on hex paper.
We didn't have any large creatures, but I don't see any serious problems there.
I will probably use this as often as...
