    Randomized Mini's or Not?

It's called Amazon. And they'll pay the shipping at a low minimum order (as opposed to eBay/MinMaxi). Packs are simple, singles for fill aren't really. Heck, even in game stores/comic shops they sell the packs, but in my experience only a percentage of these sell them individually for fill.

    Randomized Mini's or Not?

Frustrated As Well! I'm pretty much in agreement. I could probably live with the randomization if there was a reasonable chance of getting an almost complete set without 14+ same commons! As is I'm paying far, far, far more money out to secondary market stores that buy/sell/open packs to get...

Do You Sometimes Purchase RPG Books Just To Read (Not For Play Purposes)?

Oh Yeeeah! Every month -- used to be pretty much every week!

Do Adjustments To Core RAW Often Meet With Resistance In Your RPGing Group?

Um, I know I should know this one, but... . Can someone define what RAW is for those of us who haven't run into the terminology before?

How would you like to see a PDF version of Dragon/Dungeon

Can't see it. I think the Paizo folks are just way too busy, as is, to be spending the time on this type of endeavor. (Look how long it can take them just to get the Dungeon hand-outs set up for the website.) I'd much rather they spent their "spare" time on other work/products, like new...

Do You Prefer a Humanocentric RPG Setting?

White Bread is for Eating. You'd really have to work harder than just about anything I've ever seen out there to convince me that Humans are interesting enough to really carry a setting. I've run games where they were the pariahs of the world and it really made the other races pop! At the...

Do you miss the good old days? Boxed sets and single books.

Very Limited When I was a kid, boxed sets made it easier to carry my stuff to school/clubs, but in the end they just fell apart and looked awful (and couldn't carry very much at that). I have NO nostalgia for them whatsoever. The HCs are by far my preference, although I agree: the loss of...

Have much of your gaming books have you read?

Smokin'! "An hour"?!? Man, a 180+ page WoTC HC can take me weeks to get through. No wonder I've really read so little of my vast collection!

Do you use or not use specific rules because of fears of munchkinism?

Oh, well then... In that case, I may have answered wrongly. I voted saying I'd changed/outlawed core rule(s) when they weren't seeming balanced (i.e. a feat too powerful by comparison to similarly 'levelled' feats) and thought they could easily be abused by players.

The Complete Mage & The Complete Scoundrel

Good Intentions, Weakened Inventions To go one step further, I feel like I'm getting spammed by "flavour text" of just about every variety out there! I think RPG writers' greatest weaknesses is their overwhelming addiction to writing prose instead of helpful, useful gaming text. The Races...

Would you like to see RPGA modules in Dungeon magazine?

Yes and No. Well, straight on, maybe not, based on feedback of quality 'as is'. However, I certainly wouldn't mind an all-RPGA adventures specialty issue each year, wherein quite a few of the best old adventures were rewritten and made available to those of us who were never a part of the...

Party goes after tough opponets with eyes wide open...

Never enough choices Well, I took 'tone it down' only in the sense that I say let them go up against the baddie, but allow them to get their tails kicked so hard the think twice about doing reckless/stupid/unprepared actions in the future. In the end, provide some sort of way out for at least...

Rate S1: The Tomb of Horrors (corrected poll options)

A Great Read... It made a good example of how inventive traps could be, but very much lacked the balance of today's modules. I'd never run it without heavily forewarning the players how deadly it is (maybe even run it as a side adventure where death wasn't really death, or as a spiritual, holy...

    Are Undead Scary?

It's Not the Same Back in those olden days, I had a character loose at least 4 very hard-earned levels to vampires and wights and such with energy drain. It felt both painful and unfair (considering the numbers I was up against that adventure). These days, the system isn't nearly so permanent...
