Massachusetts game day July... And a Good Time Was Had by All

Whoo, just got back from KB's house. Much fun was had! Piratecat's special turned out to be a very fun game of Cthulhu, and not only did we all go insane to one degree or another, but we all died too. :D Pkitty claims he's no were near as good as his wife at running CoC, if that's the case i hope i get to play in one of here games someday, cause his was awsome! Then i got to play in Starkad's Tactical Eberron game, which was also huge fun(even though we sort of by passed everything but the main fight with the villians. ). Got to see what happens when a Druid busts out Huge Dire Apes!, plus my warforged juggernaut got to burst a wizard like a bug in a bug zapper, once again BIG fun!

The hosts were both very nice, the food was great, the pug was cute, over all i'd say it was a success. From POV at least. :D

Well, that was a blast!

I'd like to thank everybody -- particularly KB and hubby (and pug, and lucky black cat, and lump) for opening up their home for an excellent day of gaming.

Below is a group picture from Sunday afternoon.

OK, hopefully I'll get this all right...In the back row (from left to right) Kahuna Burger with Lump, Sir Osis of Liver, Jesse, PirateCat, (in back)Baron von Starblade, (in front)AO the overkitty, Sweet Orchid Blossom, Evil Kitty Grrl, (in back)KB's buddy Karl, Guedo79, and Starkad.

Kneeling are KB's Hubby with pug, Maverick Weirdo, Scholar, and Qualidar. Missing from the picture are Thornir Alekeg, who had to leave early, and CarlZog, who took the picture.

Thanks to everybody who ran games. Although I could only make it on Sunday, I can't remember ever being at any convention where I enjoyed a more diverse range of games and styles -- the campy fun of Piratecat's Spaceship Zero, the troubled revenge of Guedo's Ravenloft, the tactical machinations of Starkad's Eberron, and the sheer roleplaying of KB's End of the World Timeshare!

I'm still slightly giddy just thinking about it all, and I look forward to playing with all of you again.

Well, now that the boards are back from data backup, I can say I had a great time. We got back to Albany about 20 minutes ago.

I want to thank kahuna burger & husband for hosting. I had a blast in Missing Masters and Spaceship Zero.

Not the best picture of me, but evil kitty grrl looks absolutely demonic with those two white flash reflections on her glasses (switch orchid blossom & evil kitty grrl in the order for correct placement).

We all had a great time, even if I had to be wedged in the middle of the backseat for 3 hours. Definately worth the trip.

Order corrected. Thanks.

Well I just wanted to add my thanks to KB, KB's hubby, Lump, Lilac and the cat (whose name I never got), for hosting a fun day. I had a great time with both Ravenloft and Spaceship Zero (I am still not pleased with Chief Mechanic Link's possession of non-standard equipment. Regulation 921.009z subsection (a) strictly prohibits fresh produce, i.e. bananas, onboard SpaceCorp vessels, although in this instance they did probably save our lives  ).

Sorry I had to leave early and miss the photo op and Starkad's Eberron game. Sounds like it went well, and I'm sure somebody graciously volunteered to fill my seat.

I had a blast, and would definitely continue to run at these get-togethers if the interest is there. Next time, I will have a tougher fight. :)

Thanks a lot KB, I had a blast!

That's okay, Thornir, your part in the photo was played by Lilac the pug. :D

What a great day. After all these years I finally got to play GURPS (in an absolutely amazing Diskworld game; Kahuna Burger got the mood exactly right, and the other players rocked) and a fun game of FUDGE. My 10 year old "spunky kid" character did want to kick Baron Von Starblade's rude stepdad right in the crotch, though. I was going to start making Dursley references next.

My CoC game was brutal fun; one player, Karl, almost escaped from the monsters about three times before having the lungs sucked out of his still-living body. My throat hurts from making monster noises. Spaceship Zero was also a delight due to the great roleplaying. Carlzog's character Jett Mercury (Space Commander!) would still have a saucer-load of hideous hydronaut drones worshipping him if the mutant ameboid they brough back from Pluto hadn't devoured the ship's engines. . . but that's life in SpaceCorps for ya.

Great people, great gaming. My thanks to KB and everyone who gamed with me.

Thank you to Kahuna Burger & Hubby and the animal companions for hosting.

Thank you to Guedo79 for fun game of Ravenloft (during the "Horror timeslot" Ravenloft upstairs, Call of Chuthulu downstairs.)

Thank you to Kahuna Burger for 2 very fun games of roleplaying (even if they didn't have combat).

It was great to meet you all in person.

Thanks to all for coming. It was a really good time (if continually running late ;) sorry the bughunt never happened) and I enjoyed the games I ran - maybe next time I'll actually leave myself room to play in one slot! Special thanks to those who brought foodstuffs, helped with the cooking or ran games. And huge thanks for being such neat and considerate houseguests! Cleanup was a breeze especially consider the number of folks who had been here over two days.

Puggy misses you all, and the kitty (who's name, btw is "Film Series: The Cat" or "FS" for short) found it a tolerable gathering that didn't make her want to pee in the tub. :D

Hope to see you all again, anyone who played with me or the hubby and would be willing to come up once in a while for a regular group shout out, and if you'd like to get in on the REAL End of the World Timeshare feel free to send me a credit report and cover letter for consideration. :p (kidding, but some days SOOO wish I wasn't!)

Ao already said it, but I'll add my thanks as well. I know it can be hard to just host one's weekly game; I don't even want to imagine hosting a game day. Thanks so much!
