A Paid Trip to Spellhold [D&D 4e]

Uninvited Company! Warns Thurinar sternly, jerking his head toward the door that was omitted by the dwarf. The Shadows are on the run, I must capture one, if you're with me, come. the elf's drab leather armor, and muted cloak give chase to the Shadow Thieves. Already mid-stride, the seeker called out, A bottle of wine, or pitcher of ale, to the person that subdues a Shadow Thief, alive...and then he was at the door indicated by Rudin. With his hand on the door, Thurinar acknowledges Cliff, They have my mother. and makes to rush after the curs.

Thanking his rescuers Rudin rushes to his pack, grabbing the weapons that lay scattered about it. Strapping the extra weapons to his legs and back he readies his large axe and follows the seeking elf.

"This door is barred, perhaps we can force it open together!"

This said, Rudin swings wildly at the door, apparently still a little woozy from his extended 'sleep'.

If we're going to do this, we have to work together, Daven warns as he draws his rapier. Remember the tale of the River Knights, and how they overcame the Broken-Claw orcs. Look to those beside you, and protect them.

Issia chuckled lightly as the one man warned the group of guarding one another.

"And here I thought I'd just kill them all and save you guys the trouble..." The dragonborn woman smiled, letting the arcane energies around her build as the others made her believe combat was imminent.

Izera

Izera moved over to the proposed direction that the slavers had traveled, graceful in step and wary of her surroundings.

Twix appears to be knocked out for the moment, although he is breathing normally.
The door before the dwarf burst in splinters, revealing a dark room, in which Izera and Rudin can spot three men, armed with short swords and daggers, they appear surprised, and turn to face the duo.
The other door opens violently as well, and several bandits deploy near the entrance. They had hoped to catch you up by surprise, but thanks to the senses of the group, their effort proved futile.
Non the less, these men go for real, and they swing their swords in the air, taunting the group.

One of the surprised thieves is the most quickly to react, sending a flying dagger to meet Rudin's chest, but the pelt the dwarf is wearing deflects the poisoned blade.

Thurinar and Taran are the next.

Izera, Female Githzerai Avenger

Izera

Seeing what was clearly slavers revealed to her, Izera moved swiftly to engage the foes before they could mount a reasonable defense. "Time for you to have a talk with your ancestors," the githzerai pointed out to one of the thieves, as she moved into position to strike him down. The large blade in her hand looked almost weightless and she swung it at her foe.

[sblock]OOC: Looks like Izera rolled a zero for initiative as her base is +6. If that meant I needed to roll, I cannot, as IC is down. Move action: Move S12, T11, U10, V10 (or, wherever possible to get adjacent to a single foe, in this case Thief 5). Minor Action: Oath of Enmity S5 (or whoever she's adjacent to). Standard action: Overwhelming Strike, +7 vs. AC [roll twice and take the best], Damage is 1d12+6 [crit is 1d12+18], if hit, will shift to W9 and move thief#5 into V10.[/sblock]

Already firing off an arrow midstride, Thurinar moves to the cover of Rudin, Great job with the door, let's see if we can stop everyone from escaping now. as the arrow strikes the middle Shadowthief, a resounding BOOM, echoes off the walls. The arrow fragments and leaves a fine dust over the rest of the surrounding foes. When they begin to move, similar thunderous crashes sound.

[sblock=OOC]

Standard Elemental Spirits on S3 25 vs AC for 16 Thunder damage, and any creature that starts it's turn adjacent to S3 takes 3 thunder damage TE of Thurinar's NT.

Move S10

WD this works awesome with Taran's power...
