Sounds like we're on the same page then. The Egyptian legends, garbled through time and language barriers, and perhaps confused by beings for whom form and being were more...fluid than they are for human beings...can be considered an interpretation of this goddess and her kin, and some of the events that transpired. They got some things right, and they got some things wrong, and some things they never knew about or simply couldn't grasp.

As for the fate of this goddess and her home...that is an exercise for the GM to decide of course. I have ideas, but part of the fun of a character like this is the journey of discovery. :)

Just about to type up my character sheet. Sorry about the delay.

Unsung, have you considered setting up a wiki? I use Obsidian Portal and can't recommend it highly enough.

Apologies for the length. I haven't really played with the forum much, so don't know how to do the hidden text thing. I'm also pretty new to 5E, so let me know if I missed anything. I'll be making a separate post shortly with background and flavor stuff.

goatunit Eurid looks like he's all set. :) From what I can see of his personality in your background traits, I like him already. He sounds like he'll bring a nice counterpoint to the party's more...energetic members, and no doubt the unusual neither living nor dead status of both Picayune and Nameless should give the Dustmen something to think about.

As a factotum in the Dustmen, you have some faction benefits coming. Put simply, you and your companions can expect most of the benefits of having the Acolyte background's Shelter of the Faithful feature while among Dustmen. You'll also benefit from the Dead Truce. While I'm sure you already know or can guess, I'll put it in writing: as a Dustmen, mindless undead will ignore your presence (unless commanded to obey your orders) and won't attack you unless you provoke them or give aid to their enemies, which may at times include your companions. Even intelligent and free-willed undead will be more reluctant to attack you, and act at disadvantage if they attack you first.

By the way, did you want to change out any of your tiefling racial raits? The 5e default tiefling assumes an infernal lineage, but I'm willing to hear out alternatives.
Queenie From a roleplaying standpoint, it might be interesting to play this up as something more abstract than one of your class or racial powers. I wouldn't be so cruel as to ask for Liliana's voice, but if you were to trade away something along those lines to a sea-witch or department store robot gypsy-- in exchange for being 'big'-- that could be a long-term plot hook that ties into the reasons why your mother thought Liliana needed to do some growing up before she assumed the throne.

Beg pardon, but I saw that this group has room for one more?

There didn't seem to be a proper 'Clueless Prime' character so far, and I wanted to throw my character concept for that into the ring. I was thinking a young student-wizard from Mystara, specifically the Great School of Magic of the magocracy of Glantri- an atheistic state where divine magic is an offense punishable by death.

He'd have been raised under the prejudices of that environment, but getting old enough to want to see the truth of the universe for himself- and also secretly being 'divine-curious', wanting to explore the options they present. Adventuring with the group would more or less be his equivalent of taking a year off of college to go backpacking around Europe.

I'd been thinking of him either as an illusionist or conjurer, benefiting from the experiences along the way to develop new scope and perspective for his craft; so many wonders to learn from, so many interesting people to meet! He'd probably try to study the other members of the group unless they asked him not to.

Any of this sound workable?
