D&D 5E Daggers, Knives, and Darts...... Are there no Knives in 5E....?!?!?!

I think the real issue here is that if the book doesn't even have knives, there's no chance that there's going to be spoons, and certainly not forks.

Mystery Men

The Blue Raja: I'm not StabMan, I'm not KnifeyBoy, I'm the Blue Raja.
Mr. Furious: [referring to the Blue Raja's costume] Yeah, that's another thing... why are you the Blue Raja? I mean, you've got green, you've got a little flowery thing going on, but it's like everything but blue.

And if someone wanted to play a character off of the Blue Raja in one of my games, I would suggest a monk or rogue that threw forks but used the stats for darts.

From my perspective they offer plenty of opportunities for unique spell use, specialization and customization ala more spells or rituals, but because equipment is simple (weapons, armor, shields, etc.), there are less opportunities for martial classes to do the same thing. And there is nothing like maneuvers for all martial classes to allow flexibility of choice for weapon techniques, etc. Whether a specific weapon will meet someone's vision of what properties or uses it should have is just the tip of the iceberg.

Going through the first page of posts I was seriously tempted to complain about how a troll could generate pages of back-and-forth on an rpg forum; but then I got to the third page and am happy to say I stand corrected. I'm glad to see this thread devolved into something funny and interesting.

I leave you with this anthem of grunge era superherodom.

In this week's adventure, 1st prize is a Vorpal Sword; 2nd prize is a set of Throwing Knives; 3rd prize is You're Fired.

Don't Laugh at this post unless you get the reference.

The Martial Adept Feat allows any character to use a pair of maneuvers from the Battle Master's list.

Which brings up a question for me: Can the Martial Adept Feat be taken more than once?
