1-Player Modules?

Okay... I'm curious. Are there any modules out there for 1 player? Sure it sounds antisocial and the game doesn't lend itself to being played that way, but the two gaming groups I run for just don't fulfill me.

Actually, I'd like something to run for my fiancee when we're bored. Heroquest is getting a bit old. I could make my own homebrew 1-player thingy, but I'm not sure I have the time. Are there any modules out there anywhere for just 1 player?

I'm primarily thinking D&D 3E, but I can use (or learn) other systems if that's what it takes.

Thanks all!

The only ones I know of, and the ones I am getting rady to run for my wife, is the Thievery 101 series from Wyvern Claw. They have a free pdf into and enhancement on their website, and you can get the first part of the series at RPGNow. If you wanna run a thief/thieves guild campaign, which is really the best choice for one player IMHO, then they are well worth the coupla bucks to purchase. Well written and laid out, with some good twists in characterization.

Before Ad&D 2nd Edition I had several one-player adventures that had the text covered with red blocks. You had to read it through a red, plastic filter. They weren't much more than glorified choose-your-own adventure books, but I enjoyed them very much.

Whoah... okay, I'm confused... are these on www.acaeum.com? If so, where do I find them?

EDIT:
And... of course... as soon as I ask the question I find the answer.

Hmmm, old D&D... do I dare go back?

I think you're going to get the best results if you build a campaign around your fiancee's character. Maybe have one or two traveling companions to be in the group as well for back up.
One player games had a great potential for roleplaying as long as you are both comfortable with each other. I wouldn't imagine combat would be the number one priority in that type of game without a little NPC help.
I've always wante to run a single player game but I haven't found anyone who could pull it off as a player yet.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I think I'm going to start with Thievery 101 and move to a homebrew after that.

Any other suggestions that happen to pop up are still welcome, of course!

Thanks again!
