1000 more swashbuckling cards

how's this...

some of these are fantastic... I've not used them before but they'll be included in the very next session of play I run...

I'll pull my legs out with my arms, and my arms out with my face...
Play: When irrational (or just plain stupid) play has placed you in a situation of highly probable death...
Effect: A bystander or conveniently nearby creature selflessly comes to your aid...

Type O Negative:

56. Everything dies.

A minor, but established NPC (DM's choice) suddenly dies. His death affects the PCs, either positively (they're the beneficiaries of his will) or negatively (they're accused of murdering him).

57. Red water, take them away

The next glass of red wine you or another character (your choice) imbibes has one of the following effects:

a. it cures the drinker of one mind-affecting effect (such as charms, compulsions, the confusion spell, or something similar)
b. it causes ghosts to cease to exist for you, for the duration of the time you're feeling the effects of the wine (say, about an hour).
c. it gives you a +2 to your next turning check and turning damage check.

58. Girl, I want to die with you

For the next hour, all damage you take is also taken by an NPC of your choice, and vice versa.

59. You Shall Not Pass!
Play: When your party need to escape an encounter or situation
Effect: All opponent(s) or trap(s) currently facing your party focus all attention/effects on you instead, giving your party a 10 round (long enough? too long?) head start on their escape. Afterwards, you suffer the full consequences of the encounter or trap, playing it out alone.

61. I meant to do that...

Play: Whenever you roll a 1 in front of opponents.

Effect: The opponents are caught off guard by your complete lack of ability/pants falling down/etc., allowing you to take a partial action immediately.

This should allow you to either smack them while they're distracted, or possibly slip by unnoticed while they slap each other's back and laugh at your expense.

I want to see all the monte python ones
how not to be seen

Play: anytime you would be spotted while hiding.
Effect: you can make another hide check to remain hidden.

lets see more monte python stuff I know there has got to be tons out there just waiting in the wings..

Here are a few:

63. We'd like to see the dog kennels, please.

Gain a +4 circumstance bonus to any Innuendo checks you make during this conversation. Or inflict a -4 circumstance penalty to all Innuendo checks of another character's during one conversation.

64. No, I don't understand that banter at all.

Impress your peers with your use of jargon they can't understand, convincing them you're an expert at whatever you're talking about. This translates to a +4 circumstance bonus on your next Bluff or Diplomacy check, at the discretion of the DM.

65. Your cat badly needs to be confused.

The next tactic you choose has a chance to succeed directly proportionate to how bizarre and demented it seems. The more ridiculously complex, the better. Note that a spectacular failure can sometimes be a success.

66. Now you, come at me with this banana. Come on!

Make an attack with a piece of fresh fruit. If it succeeds, you deal 1d8 damage, plus any relevant bonuses. This attack can only be defeated if the victim wins initiative and hits you with a missile weapon, a 16-ton weight, etc. If the attack is defeated, the defender may then eat the piece of fresh fruit, rendering you 'elpless.

ok, now these are getting really silly. funny, yes, but not really of much use in a serious game. the appeal of the original set was that they were amusing and cinematic but they still worked in a serious game (IMHO). if they're too silly, to me, i sort defeats the purpose.
