3.0 Obscuring Mist

Was always confused about this one, so I'll put it before all you rules lawyers.

"Effect: Cloud centered on you spreads 30 ft. and is 20 ft. high"

Does that mean 30 ft. radius or 30 ft. diameter?

The "spread" effect is from a point of origin. It spreads 30' in each direction, so the spread in the radius.

It's always the distance that is travelled by the effect from the point of origin in every direction.

So if there is no obstacles, the mist forms a cloud more or less circular (let's say donut-shaped) with 30ft radius and 20ft height. If you cast it in a narrow north-south corridor, it travels 30ft south and 30ft north; if there is an intersection for ex. 10ft north, at that point it travels 20ft more in every branch starting at the intersection.
