[4e] Border Epic: Aftermath of the Celestial War (Dead.)

Veteran's armor is always good, but it's only level 17. Bloodiron armor is good too, +2 item bonus to AC whenever you hit a foe.

Edit: looks like you did take some armor. only changes that I would make would be to a couple of powers. I would choose hallowed ground over righteous shield(very solid still as encounter). Mantle of Glory over inspiring strike I would switch out too. It goes against will, and I think spending surges at this point is better than temp hp for one person.
Thanks, I tend to play very conservative, so the shield will be more usefull on the long run (ground is awesome, but daily). Mantle of Glory is a great idea. I will take it mainly for the healing effect (his wis is to low to hit reliable with it).

@Evilhalfling: Should I just begin to post and buy the secondary stuff later?
Already got weapon, armor and neck item.

You can if you like, roll initiative at least.
However alot of gear is combat focused, you may want to conisder a few major purchases before jumping into the fray.

Can Aridha make an Athletics check to get into the square opposite Ratheros, to flank? Climb or jump up onto the ledge, perhaps? If so, would that risk an Opportunity Attack from the Worm?

DC 15 climb to scale the wall. If you take a -10 you can do it without granting Combat advantage. It will provoke, but the worm is still marked.

Alright...and just to confirm, getting up on the ledge will give me combat advantage against the worm via flanking? And would it be a move action or a standard?

okay shaggy does the power you used replace your divine challange as well?
DC does damage, not addtional attacks.
Does the power grant actual OA's (multiple uses) or an immediate interrupt (one use)
the Worm is taking its OA attack on Shayuri, and will probably attack you next, if it realizes you get more painful free attacks.

Walking Dad is either on Vac till today as long as the 31st, his post is unclear.

I am not currently using Divine Challenge to mark the worm.

The Daily Power Controlling Thrust marks the target on a miss until the end of my next turn. That power also has an effect: "If the target takes a move action before the end of your next turn and is within your melee reach, you can make a secondary attack against the target as an immediate interrupt."

The secondary attack is the one I put in my action post. It cancels the target's move action on a hit. None of this is important, since I am not going to be able to use THIS immediate action.

My Paragon Path has an ability called Longarm Grasp that says "If you’re wielding a reach weapon, whenever an enemy within 2 squares of you and marked by you shifts or makes an attack that doesn’t include you as a target, you can make a melee basic attack against that enemy as an immediate interrupt."

The power I used marked the Worm, so Longarm grasp could work. I can do one or the other. Neither is an OA, so I can't use Heavy blade Opportunity. In general, I will take the first immediate interrupt I can, which means I will use Longarm Grasp as an interrupt, which hits and deals 14 damage.

1d20+21=36, 2d4+9=14

Also, remember the -2 penalty for not attacking me.

[sblock=side note] That said, my Longarm Grasp would trigger if I Divine Challenged the worm (which I will likely do next round) letting me ping him for 8 radiant damage AND get the melee basic attack on him.[/sblock]

More on marking...We may want to decide who we want to mark the worm. Thanks to a feat, I do an extra 4 damage on a hit to any creature that I have marked. It probably is more damage in the long run if I do it, but being a solo, we may want to both mark it every other turn to keep one person from soaking up all the damage.
