D&D 5E 5e most conservative edition yet? (In terms of new settings)

WotC has certainly been working to make the DMsGuild attractive and seemingly semi-official insofar as possible: their "Free Stuff" ongoing campaign is all about promotion of DMsGuild authors and products...

Yeah that's an interesting point, I hadn't considered that. It's recent but it's a very positive move and hopefully will make more people aware.

I have to say, it really does feel like WotC is becoming a lot more confident with 5E. I hope that continues (and that I'm not just imagining it)!
