A clever use of bluff?

Like, for instance, getting people to read my "build a sorceror" thread again. :D

Please help me plan a sorceror from 1st to 20th level.

(Race (PHB-only), Feats, Spells (including what spells to switch out, etc.).

If it matters, assume a 28 point buy, and if relevant to the focus (see below) feel free to add opinions on skills, or items (if he can build them).

Focus on maximum ability to kill opponents (with secondary focus on defeating opponents, in cases where this makes a difference), but stick to the 3.5 PHB only.

Have fun!

p.s. I thought a simple bump would be uncreative. :)

p.p.s. Actually, if you don't want to go to that much trouble, how about good "temp" spells (the sort that would get switched out as the sorceror gains levels). Which would you choose?

p.p.s. This is the last thread subject change from me (well, at least on THIS thread or subject), even if no one replies to the message. Promise. :)

Asking for 'help to design a Sorceror from the ground up' is unlikely to get many helpful responses, no matter what you put in the topic line :)

Perhaps if you put together a Sorceror from 1st to 20th with the stated goals in mind, others might be willing to help you by critiquing and suggesting alternatives.

Unless they're annoyed at being tricked by the subject line ;)

If you shoot an orc, you save a villager for one day.

If you teach him magic missile, eventually he might become a supreme evil powerful wizard, and THEN where would you be?

Hmm... that didn't come out the way I'd hoped.

Ok, but it has to be a woman.

Buy her an 18 starting charisma, and balance out the others.

Be human.

Snag spell focus (Evocation), greater spell focus (Evocation), Weapon Focus (ray), etc. with your feats.

Pick combat spells.

Come up with a snappy name, a tagline, and a good excuse to have a short temper--thus the destroy/stop combat tendencies.

If you need more help, e-mail me, offer to pay me $5, and I'll do the character for you. :)

(FWIW, if you're 3.5, I'd recommend planning for a Lina Inverse style Eldritch Knight...)

HIJACK!!!!

Okay, buddy, you asked for it.

How many of you play with women in your games, and what have you found the differences in play style to be?

Our group has one woman in it- hopefully to have another soon- and I've noticed that she prefers roleplay over tactics. Hardly a surprise there. Her character tends to be the "fire magic missile from safety" type and the new one will probably be a diplomatic sorceress.

What play styles / character types have you seen played by women in your campaigns?
