“Enterrprise” next season — even if the show barely survived cancellation this year, moving to a new network that’s hedging its bets by only producing 12 new shows.

Huh? I didn't know Enterprise moved to a new network.

They would have if they didn't offer UPN a sweet deal. They lowered the price per episode to air ENTERPRISE. When asked if this will affect the show's total production budget (which includes makeup and special effects), they say they will get the rest from merchandise sale.

"The Man with the Screaming Brain"
STATUS: Due in 2005 on the Sci-Fi Channel

We don’t know much about this upcoming Sci-Fi-Channel movie beyond that the writer, director and star is Bruce Campbell (“The Evil Dead,” “Bubba Ho-Tep”), and that means this meal will be especially tasty for those who like extra cheese. Campbell plays a wealthy businessman out for revenge after a mad scientist replaces part of his brain with that of a Russian spy. It’s a story ripped from today’s headlines!
How did I miss this coming out?! Sweeeeet.

It was a long time ago, when news leaked out that UPN is putting ENTERPRISE on the Friday night timeslot. Berman commented in his interview that they're exploring options including moving to a different network.

But it's all a moot point now.

You might find his interview archived at one of the Trek-themed news web sites.

Personally, I hope "Ripper" makes it over here to the States somehow. I'd love to see a Giles show. Buffy Animated just gives me a headache thinking about it.

The 4400 - Bad, bad premise.
Dr. Who - Eh. I never saw much of the original series, so I have little investment here.
Stargate: Atlantis - Oh, hell yes. Friday can't come soon enough.
The Man With the Screaming Brain - Doesn't grab me right away. Campbell is cool, but...
Earthsea - Haven't read the books. Might catch this one.
Farscape: Peacekeeper War - I missed the whole last season, so I'd be lost when this one airs. Hopefully they do a marathon of the last season before it shows.
Justice League: Unlimited - Stopped watching after the first season. Good show, but didn't seem to be going anywhere.
Star Trek: Enterprise - No. Let it die, please. JMS can resurrect it with something good in a year or two. Personally, I'm hoping for "Star Trek: Elite Force." :D

First season of Justice League was okay/pretty good, but season 2 improved considerably:

- several of the show's weaknesses were fixed (for example, Flash actually contributed something instead of just running around and cracking jokes, and Superman learned to hit stuff back instead of just being blasted all the time),

- stories were a little stronger, like A Better World, which had the League fight a corrupt, parallel universe version of themselves, and The Terror Beyond, in which they fight Cthulhu (okay, they named him Ichthulhu instead) with the help of Marvel's Defenders (well, actually it was Doctor Fate instead of Doc Strange, Aquaman instead of Namor, and Solomon Grundy instead of Hulk)

- they took some risks (including developing romances between not just one, but TWO pairs of Leaguers, and some big changes in the season finale)

Even better, the new season includes an adaptation of "For the Man Who Has Everything", the classic Superman story written by Alan Moore in which Superman's greatest wish is fulfilled (Krypton never blows up)... much to his regret.

The only sci-fi shows I'm looking forward to are Stargate Atlantis/SG-1 and Battlestar Galactica in January.

Also waiting for Serenity in movies (just got the Firefly DVD set, that show kicks some serious butt). :)

Funny, how there is much more praises for Firefly AFTER the show is cancelled.

I can't help but ask, "Where you all when it was airing on FOX?!?!!!"

;)
