Bamboo Giants are one of seven races of giants native to the oriental continent of Rhiran (the other six being: Highland, Jade, Lowland, Obsidian, the Ogre Mage, and the Wang Liang).
Bamboo Giants resemble large humans, with green skin and brown hair and eyes, they're usually dressed in fine cloth or silk, colored brown, red, yellow, or green.
Bamboo Giants live to reach the ample age of 400 years.
Combat:
Bamboo giants are generally peaceful and would rather run away than fight, if pressed however, they use their innate spell-like abilities to gain an advantage in battle.
Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day - Entangle, Levitate, and Obscuring Mist; 1/day - Barkskin, Chameleon, and Haste, These are as the spells cast by a 12th level shaman (save DC: 12 plus spell level)
Bamboo Giant Society:
Bamboo Giants are mostly nomadic, only setteling in if they find a secluded valley within their forest homes, with access to running water. Living in small family units only meeting once every 4 years to trade stories, and strengthening bonds between family groups.
Bamboo Giant Characters:
A bamboo gianst favored class is shaman, and most bamboo giant leaders are shamans. Bamboo Giant shamans usually choose from among the following domains: Ancestor, Flame, Nature, River, Stone, or Wood. Although they are by no means limited to these choices.
A bamboo giants ECL is: +12
What do you think? Is it worth it? Is it playable?
The above creature assumes access to the OA rulebook.
And yes, I will eventually post the Highland, Jade, Lowland, and Obsidian giants...
