A Night at the Four Seasons (DM: renau1g, Judge:Ozymandias79)

"I am sure the good Lord Aramil would be able to locate you passage, although I'm sure such knowledge has value to people such as yourselves, hmmmmm? Perhaps you could then take care of our hag problem here and strike her down so we don't need to sully our weapons" the eladrin replies.

OOC: Ooh, a moral dilemma!

Tarkus looks back and forth in disbelief between the well armed attackers and the frail old lady. "That would be grossly unfair," he says flatly. "Even if we did not have an agreement with the lady. Unfair and cruel." He draws his mace and levels it at the speaker. "I give you one last chance to return to your lord and beg his mercy. Remain, and you will be punished for your spite!" He glares at the fae with steely eyes, willing it to make an attack.

Initiative (1d20+0=19)

If it's possible to gain surprise, or at least a guaranteed first action, by being the first to post a hostile move, I'd like to make the above a Gaze of Defiance... Otherwise it'll wait until my first turn.

Tactics: Let's focus fire here, starting with the one that was speaking. I'll pump it with debuffs and then everyone hit it. Except maybe the defenders if they can tie up others.

"If we can't do this peacefully," Phoenix says under her breath.

"Tarkus here will give you a chance. I, however-"

She smiles at the Eladrin...

And engulfs them in flames.

OOC: Why wait? Do any of us get surprise rounds or should we roll initiative?

OOC: If you are going to attempt an action you can make a Bluff check vs. their passive insight of 18.

If you beat it you gain surprise.

As he speaks, Tarkus's fingers play with his holy symbol, hoping the eladrin don't observe the complex patterns as he runs it chains through his fingers. Prayer beads aren't usually his standard method of praying, but sometimes it is useful to be able to chant entirely in your head while doing something else... As he states his final challenge, he thrusts the symbol aloft, and silver rays shine out from between his fingers, touching the weapons of his allies. All gleam with a brilliant light.

Bluff to gain surprise (1d20+3=19)

Haha! Oh, wait... nobody's in range of my Gaze of Defiance anyway. Damn.

Ok, with my surprise round, Bless. All allies gain +1 power bonus to all attack rolls until end of encounter.

I just realized Gaze of Defiance is useless to me now that I've taking Bless, since I'm realistically going to be using it every encounter, and the +1 power bonuses don't stack. Guess I'll retrain again next level up...
