A question about the PBP Boards

A question about the PBP board here at ENWORLD. Please move or other if this is not an appropriate place to post this.

My gaming group has a key member moving out of state, and though that campaign will continue in the current way. However, a couple of us are exploring running a supplemental PBP or PBEM game, here. Is this appropriate /acceptable use of these forums? In other words, I wouldn't anticipate a call for players, it would be those already involved in my PNP campaign. Is this OK or frowned upon?

Oh Forgot to add, Were all wet behind the ears at PBP or PBEM.

I'm pretty sure it would be just fine - I've seen a buch of games (usually 1 on 1, I guess) that were created by a GM with a particular player in mind. If it's a good game, though, don't be surprised if you get people showing up in the OOC thread saying stuff like "Is there room for one more?" :)

definitely okay, plenty have done just that then got sucked into the rest of the boards :) Brother Shatterstone is our resident moderator who has the official word, but it has definitely been done before.

I am currently running just such a game as our old gaming group has gotten scattered and being a bunch of thirty-something old farts we rarely get a chance to all get together and game. It is working out quite well and so far no one has complained that I listed the game as (closed) from the first post in talking the talk. Feel free to look at our threads in talking the talk, playing the game and the rogue's gallery. All are listed under the heading 'Island Empire.' None of the player had any previous experience with play by post games and it is my first attempt to DM such a game though I have played in several. This lack of experience made for some problems early on, but we've been at it since early March and after two months things are running pretty smoothly. Of course we adding another player from our group now, so there could be a few bumps. I say go for it.

OKAY, I'll allow you to do it. But just this time....

Nah, just kidding... I dont see why you cant do as you say....
