Zharne rushes forward and spews forth a cloud of insects over the three kruthik before him. The stinging and biting insects envelop the two smaller creatures and they quickly drop to the ground.
Gloom draws his sword and stands at the ready holding his ground.
Gellan hops up out of the slimy goo and rushes over to the nearest kruthik. His swing is wide though as his weapon slips slightly in his hand due to being coated in slime.
Martelai sends a blast of eldritch energy into one of the smaller creatures causing it to explode into a cloud of entrails and chitinous bits, coating the floor and walls with it's remains.
Leonard steps forward and hurls a dagger past Gellan and into the Kruthik beyond.
Thorn moves forward as well and skewers one of the smaller kruthik as Minharath moves into a better position.
The two remaining kruthik shift slightly and attack the nearest foes, Zharne and Gellan. The beast by Zharne sinks it's claw into the back of his calf for a small wound. The creature by Gellan thrashes about and swings wildly, and only inflicts a couple of small scratches due to Gellans proximity.
[sblock=Mechanics]
Each kruthik shift one square and attacks. 22 vs AC against Zharne; hits for 4 damage. 6 vs AC against Gellan; miss. Gellan does take 2 damage for ending his turn beside the kruthik.

[sblock=Question about encounter powers]
OK so here is my take on encounter powers. It is my feeling (and how I see the intent of the mechanic) that encounter powers are regained after an encounter is over AND a short rest is taken. It is the short rest IMO that recharges the encounter powers, not simply the fact that a new encounter is entered. So in the current situation, even though you are technically in a new encounter, you have not taken the 'down time' required to 'recharge' your encounter powers.
Now I am sure that someone will pull up a quote from somewhere that officially over-rides this, but for the theme (and feel) of this adventure this is how I am ruling it.

[sblock=Map Question]
The yellow green areas are the slimy slick areas. These squares are difficult terrain and require a balance check DC 12 to move through. A failed check results in your movement ends. Failure by 5 or more indicates that you slip and fall.
