[MENTION=79956]dimsdale[/MENTION], this should destroy CC so if you would like to describe its death and we move on...I assume @Nei1889l would move?

As the two allies move away from the corpse the rune priest turns and throws a javelin at it. It strikes the undead right in the spot where the heart once was. As it does so the corpse explodes sending necrotic filth in all directions. Luckily for the priest and paladin they were out of range from the splatter. All is silent once again. You all look at each other and wonder why you are here. As you look around you realize that you stand in the ruins of which you guess was once a city. Several items of interest lay strewn about the rubble.

GM: Perception check: roll high. :) The higher the roll the more interesting the find.

Final xp totals will be given after every two encounters. One down and one to got :)

The goliath shows interest in the summoning circle and undead corpses which he makes sure are all dead (by smashing the bones in little pieces).

Sora Daar looks at the people and nods to each
"Good work, wherever we are and whyever we're here."

She looks carefully around as she turns toward the elf shooter next to her. Looking for the moment at him she speaks in eladrin
"I am Sora Daar, Lady of Wrathwood."

She resumes scanning the ruins, looking for clues, but spares moments of her attention for the elf in front of her.

Labraundos, on the face of it, had decided that it was probably worth listening to the warning from the Goliath and had dutifully moved away from the undead before it exploded.

He looked around, very, very carefully, sniffing and tasting at the air around him, his ears twitching at every sound.

[sblock=Perception Check]Perception Check = 32 (d20+12 ! ). [/sblock]

ooc: sorry for the delay

As you bash away at the you find nothing really of value with the rusted swords and rotted tattered armor. You did notice there a small pouch attached to a part of a belt that was blown away by the exploding zombie. The pouch however took a direct hit from your maul. As you pick it up liquid seeps from the bag. You open it and realize that the 10 gps are still usable, but the the two...shattered potions of healing...are not. [/sblock]

You find two things of interest scattered about the ground.

By observing the artifacts and analyzing them you notice that you stand in the ruins of what was once a large city. You stand in one of many building remains scattered as far as the eye can see. Piece of pottery and shattered metal along with bones lead you to conclude that the building you currently stand in must have been used for preparing the dead for burial. Underneath a small pile of rubble something shiny catches your eye. You move to investigate it. You kick away the rubble and find a small chest. This chest has a smooth metallic surface. You find it very odd that it doesn't show signs of corrosion like other metal pieces scattered about it. Upon further inspection you notice strange runes scribed on the front of the chest.

You push away some rubble from the opposite corner of the witch and find burried beneath it a +3 magic item of your choice!!! Congrats.

As you pick up the item however, a strange vibration occursunderneath your feet. All of you keen senses are on full alert now. By scanning the area with your eyes and smelling the air about you it is clear that this area has been the resting place for far more beings than the zombies and skeletons you've killed up to this point. Another slightly forceful bump occurs under the ground below you. This time you notices the slight indentation of the ground to the right of you. As you follow the trace of the indentation you realize that it forms a 5 foot by 5 foot square. You bend down an brush the dirt from within the square away. To your surprise a metal plate with two hinges on one side is reveal. You search the opposite side of the square from the hinges and notice a latch which you can grip. As you touch the latch you hear Ahhh minotaur...yes...you have found it. Come...you and the others...you have questions and i have all of the answers...come.

The Minotaur suddenly pushes away some of the rubble and then stoops to pull off a pair of fine looking boots from a trapped skeleton. He brushes the dirt from the footwear.

"Hmm! He had proper sized feet for human. These will do very nicely!" he proclaims.

The Minotaur pushes more the of earth to one side to reveal a trapdoor and he announces its presence to the others in a growling voice, "Take note, all of you, for I have also found to this metal trapdoor, over here in the rubble. Some unknown being has also just had the temerity invade my mind, trying to lure us downwards with the promise of...answers. I think this Execution Axe also has questions."

[sblock]Picked a level 2 item, Boots of Adept Charging (Heroic Tier).[/sblock]
