[Adventure!] Daunton's Dead Rises Again DM: Dimsdale.

[sblock]+3? Woot! Symbol of the Champion's Code +3 will be the find, I think. This will make make Labraundos' Paladin's mark very unattractive to ignore.[/sblock]

I'm sorry but that was not what I meant. Labraundos is level two. I meant to say that he could have any Lvl 3 item. My fault. I hope you aren't too disappointed :) [/sblock]

"Excellent find, minotaur. What is your name? I'm guessing you're a warpriest or a paladin in service of Joven?"

Turning around, addressing the whole group
"Look around, we're in some kind of city or at least ruins of one. I found this small chest, it isn't tarnished as the rest of the undead equipment."

OOC: [MENTION=79956]dimsdale[/MENTION], did I get something from detect magic on the chest?

[sblock=ooc]OK, went for a level 2, Boots of Adept Charging. Hope that's OK.[/sblock]

The Minotaur declares himself matter of factly, "I am Labraundos, Paladin of Joven and proud descendant of the Sky Lord himself."

"Who might all of you be?"

[sblock=Sora Daar]
The magic you sense is a ward designed to keep others like yourself from opening the box. However, you know how to disarm it "so to speak." You open the box and see in the middle of a blue velvet cloth a small jade ring. You immediately sense that this ring has magical powers as well. Upon looking closer at the ring you notice that there are six grooves. you also notice that there are six small metallic shards underneath the velvet cloth of the box. You deduct that the shards fit easily within the notices. Perhaps in placing the shards in the notices this activates the special power of the ring! As you place the shards into their correct spots you wait in anticipation for something to happen...but nothing does. Perhaps there is something else needed to activate the power...

Jade = green, metallic shards can be of any color...so questions: can the shards be placed in any place (that is, each fits to each groove) or they can be put into single exact spot? Are they all of the same metal / color?

Sora Daar looks at the item, checks the shards for any little mark or rune and finally tries to add some power into the item.
She channels her fey will and being into it (activate spellbinding beauty racial)...and then small burst of power (unraveling darts) trying to activate it.

Finally, only seconds after expending power on the ring, Sora puts it on her finger concentrating on the magic surrounding her.

OOC: in other words, she puts the ring on and tries to identify the effect :)

Returning from his undead smashing, giant maul riding easily on his shoulder, warrior in the ebon armor comes closer to small fey.

OOC: Switching to dark green due to color conflict with neurotic
"My name is Orsik, called the Small." he rumbles
"What do you have there, little sister?"
history to recognize the item (1d20+7=21)

He nods at the minotaur, "Well met and better fought. Can we two squeeze down that hole?"

OOC: I concur, if nothing happens with witch ring, we can move on
