Adventure: Get Me to the Church on Time (DM: BenBrown, Judge: Renau1g)

Zardi walks up next to Spider and stands in front of the now-conscious hobgoblin, towering over him, and still wet with the blood of his goblin comrades. He looks down on the prisoner, points to his own bear-skin cloak and says "Do you see this? This is the skin of a dire bear. I killed that bear with these two hands...tore it apart...and now I wear it as a cloak." He squats down so that his face is just in front of the goblin's, smiles, and says "And now I think I could use some new gloves."

Goldenhorn sits on a fallen tree nearby, cleaning his sword and armor. Though he does not himself speak to the hobgoblin, the slowness with which he proceeds with is work indicates that his attention is on the conversation.

[sblock=BenBrown:]Just to clarify, I was attempting to intimidate him alongside Spider, not in place of him. I realize now I probably should have used "Aid Another" instead of trying my own intimidate check, but feel free to rule as you see fit.[/sblock]

The hobgoblin shudders as his nerve fails. "This was half the group," he sputters. "The others headed up to cover the trail to the scar. There's Kunik and Rasch and half a dozen archers. That's all. We were just in for a hit-and-run." He swallows a few times nervously. "What're you gonna do to me?"

Graval punches the hobgoblin in the stomach, throwing his weight behind it. "We do tha askin' and yer fer shuttin' yer trap 'til yer asked a question, ye beastie," he spits on the ground at the monster's feet.

"How far 'til the scar and yer dead friends?"

The hobgoblin's shoulders heave up and down as he desperately tries to catch his breath.

"How..." he spits out a gobbet of blood. "How in Tartarus should I know where they are now," he gasps. "Go ahead and kill me now. I got nothing else to say."

"Bah." Graval waves a hand in dismissal at the hobgoblin. "Wouldn't stain me axe wit' yer coward's blood."

He turns away and moves to collect his gear, muttering. "Durned cowards, tha lot o' them gobbos."
