Adventure: Hey! That's Not Wayne's Basement! (DM: H.M.Gimlord, Judge: Ozymandias79)

Rujah nods, retrieving his waterskin from his pack, handing it to Dayna to give to Talon, rather than run about. However, from his vantage point he could not see anything.

[sblock=OOC]
I sorta thought I used Rujah's move action earlier to move to I 17, after passing the waterskin, Rujah will move to I17.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I'll make this easy on all of us....

P8's idea is actually the best at overcoming this problem. If thieves were smart, they wouldn't be thieves ;). I looked at everybody's CS and you all have the standard AK, So I'm just going to assume that all of you spend the round collecting waterskins and throwing the lot on the fire.[/sblock]

Talon's natural wit starts to kick in, collecting waterskins from the group, he hurls them down the stairs at the fire.

[sblock=Putting out the fire from a distance]Dexterity vs. DC10 to hit the center of the fire. This isn't from a source, it's just an easy ability check.

Hit: The fire goes out, but the barricade remains.
Miss: The barricade continues to burn. The fire still attacks as normal on anyone passing through the square, but no longer spreads upon attack.

P8: Go ahead and roll this one yourself[/sblock]

Dex check (+3) vs. DC10 to land waterskins on fire. (1d20+3=22)YES!

Talon quickly collects the waterskins from everyone, trying to tangle the straps together as he collects them so that it becomes one solid mass which he throws hard into the center of the fire where it explodes on impact with all the sharp debris that was burning. The fire is doused fairly well, only leaving little patches burning sporadically. Talon nods at the results before getting ready to move down the stairs and past the smoldering barrier. He calls out a warning to the others as they move forward, "Be carreful with that necklace when we get it. She's connected to it somehow and it killed those otherrs I think."

Seeing the fire extinguished, Rujah swiftly moved to take point, feeling a bit miserable at his failure to protect his allies better in the past. He growled again to himself, drawing his strength as he charged forwards, roaring in challenge.

[sblock=Actions]
Move to G 21 if possible(As far ahead as he can get so the others may follow)
If the barricade is within reach, use Thorn Strike to pull the barricade towards him, hopefully dismantling the majority of it by this means, along with any damage inflicted.

[sblock=OOC]waiting for the result of Rujah's attack. In the mean time, move to G19. [/sblock]

"Good work," Jin said, "Now let's do this."

[sblock=OOC]Theroc: You'll need to roll a strength check DC20 to go along with the pull. If you succeed on the check, the barricade is successfully dislodged. If not, you'll have to get creative as to how another character is going to move or break down the barricade (since you're at G21 now ;)).[sblock=Status]Barricade (15): G22 28/40 Smoldering HS 0/0 AP 0 Attitude: Stalwart[/sblock][/sblock]

Damnit! Just had to push my luck, didn't ya HM! ;) As for how anyone else can hit... perhaps we should have attempted to 'miss' and just let the fire burn down the barricade. As it is, there's nothing Rujah can do to let other's through, besides move aside to allow any ranged attacks the others can attempt to get through. I just felt bad for not really 'defending' earlier, and wanted to make sure Rujah was in front this time so the others weren't getting pummeled...[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]So, anybody got any ideas for tactics? Fenwick is strong and hits hard, and could probably take down the barrier, but he's also a bit beat up, and is out of self-heals for this fight, at any rate.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC;Player tactics]
Well, I can't really see anything besides letting Rujah beat on it until he breaks it or pulls it apart, unless someone has a ranged attack to help. Once the barrier is down and we have a map of the battlefield, I might be able to plan a bit better. On that note: I felt really bad once I realized I could have marked those bloody rats earlier[thought the Warden marked at the beginning of their turn, not wheneber]... so I should be a bit better at defending now.[/sblock]
