Quan finds himself still alone and look around quizzically. A decision seems evident on his face and he takes off at great speed out of the ruins. Making a quick turn outside he comes upon the back of the unbloodied brute and executes a speedy flying kick at it. As the kick misses, he lands sharply on his back and bursts into a swarm of insects adjacent to the rat-man. (MISS)
"Tricksy, tricksy, little rat," Braddock blocks the blow and moves away from the lumbering brute of a rat. After seeing the little wererat shoot the feline, he focuses his ire on it before turning toward the brute again. Braddock's eyes flare with green light and eldritch energy blasts from the craghammer, but it fails to damage the brute. (MISS; AP, MISS)
Rikka growled softly- it was against her nature to allow a foe (especially a rat) a clean getaway. But she might not be able to bring Baldwin down herself, and she didn't know her new compatriots well enough to assume they would be able to follow her pursuit. Still, she had Baldwin's scent- she could run him to ground later... Instead, she danced away from the brute and lunged at the smallest of the remaining rats- with the slap of one paw, she snapped its neck and knocked its body back into one of the ruined walls... (HIT – killed minion)
"Keep focus on those present," he yells to his new comrades-in-arms and, with another precision strike, the elf injures the large wererat once more. The blade deflects off a rib however, causing relatively minor damage. (HIT)
"Good to meet you paladin of Onatar. I am Orsik called Small." (HIT OA)
”Well met Orsik the Small. Now will you mind standing over there?” points Ulrick. ”Now let’s take care this one then we can find the wererat thief.” Ulrick swings his divine hammer, trying to catch the wererat between the hammer (dwarf) and the anvil (goliath). (HIT)
Orsik shifts to more defensive posture, keeping the rat on it's toes, forcing him not to commit to strongly to any attack. Runes flare as wererats weapons loose the edge. (HIT – killed wererat)
The remaining wererats all seem to wince and shake a little bit as their lycanthropic disease start to speed their healing unnaturally (all remaining wererats regenerate 5 hit points).
Having worked with the wererat brute before, the wererat recognizes the brute’s rat frenzy, so it backs away and circles around so it can charge in flanking position and attack Braddock. It hits the warlock dwarf. The wererat seems to be more lethal when attacking with its allies.
The brute spins as Quan tumbles from out of the warehouse and sends a kick towards it. Just barely dodging in time, it is surprised again as the same elf bursts into a swarm of insects! The brute turn to face the elf-cat and finds that it has already bounded away, so it rears back and swings its greataxe overhead and slams it into the ground where the elf monk was squishing more than a few of the insects.
The brute steps into the spot the rogue elf just vacated, and then the wounded brute starts to spasm, slowly at first, but increasing in speed causing the brute to flail its greataxe in all directions, even Braddock and Kellindil, both of which are able to avoid being hit.
