Adventure: Into the Wild

[sblock=ooc]
Erm, what exactly are the new rules?
In essence, smoke them if you got them. Usage isn't bound to milestones or tier anymore.[/sblock]

Haruka glares at the hunter who attacked her. "You aren't worth my time," she states dismissively as inky tendrils rise from her shadow and drag him down to the ground. She walks past the dying man, moving towards until the hazy shapes in her vision consolidate into their proper forms. Looking from one foe to another Haruka arches her back and releases an inhuman shriek that wracks the minds of all nearby. Her mouth splits open into what might be described as a smile as another hunter falls to her onslaught.

"But enough fun. You want me to take down the big one Max? That should be manageable." Haruka clenches her hands into fists and thrusts them towards her target. A howling plume of hellish flame and black smoke erupts from her hands and rushes to consume the horned creature. She follows this up with a crackling crimson lash that carves a chunk out of the beast's hide.

[sblock=Actions]Immediate Reaction: After the minion hits Haruka with a melee attack, I'll use the Deathcut armor's power to kill him.

Move: Move to W17, gain concealment from Shadow Walk.
Minor: Designate the Horned Terror as my Prey, gaining +2 to attack and damage rolls against him until the end of my next turn.
Standard: Tyrannical Threat. Yikes! What a mess. That requires some explanation. My initial plan was to roll the four attack rolls by rolling 1d20+9 four times, and then making a separate roll for damage. But then I decided to just put in all roll, except I forgot to bring the number of sets of rolls back to one. Reminds me of when Haruka was crit for over four thousand damage in Hell's Basement...

Anyway, if we say the first set of rolls are the real ones, which seems reasonable, I hit the Shard Monster with a 22 vs Will, the Horned Terror with a 24 vs Will, the minion with a 24 vs Will, and the goliath with an 18 vs Will. They all take 12 psychic damage, except the Horned Terror who takes 14. Those who survive are also cursed. Until the end of the encounter, whenever an enemy cursed by me attacks me, that enemy also takes 3 psychic damage.

Action Point: Flames of Phlegethos the Horned Terror. Yes, I will use Max's benefit. *Whistles* That was close. Hits Reflex 18 for 30 fire damage, 8 untyped, and 5 ongoing fire.
Bravura Action: Eldritch Blast the Horned Terror. Bah, missed by one. Hits with 18 on the dot, thanks to my Eagle Eye Goggles. 12 more damage to the Horned Terror.[/sblock]

Ironsky:Twin strike or otherwise attack swordmage and the goliath and then shift away so that Rocco can attack swordmage and avoid mark penalty.

Neurotic: Once Rocco moves, I can move to his position, move Primera over to Max and blast away with my daily proning everyone hit and hopefuly clearing minions. Then, even if I fall unconcious, I did the most control and damage I could. And I'll use AP if I there is chance to grant some THP before falling down :)
[/sblock]

Isn't it great? Everyone waits on someone else and we all chimed in so we know it's not some random RL thing. IronSky and FourMonos, I think it's your turn :)

[sblock=Hey Team Into the Wild, here's something to consider]If Dante goes first, then by the end of his turn he could have Virgil shift out of his current square. Then Renquist goes and at some point shifts into the square Virgil is currently in. Then Rocco could shift over to Renquist's current square and use his close burst to take out the minions and attack the swordmage.[/sblock]

[sblock=more tactics] okay, first, wow THB, nice damage!
second, if I hit, I can knock the swordmage back 3 squares with Divine Pursuit. I shift out next to him and Rocco can use my square. I would mark the swordmage so he cant do any burst or blast things to the group. And I might be able to tie up an archer at the same time.
I could do the same to the Goliath, but the swordmage fortitude is lower, so more likely to hit. If you say do it, I'll post it...
third, I know, we are all waiting for the first move, hehe
or as THB said, move virgil and I move there [/sblock]

NO! DO NOT move the swordmage UNLESS you're bringing him closer to rocco! I would like to attack him to avoid the mark and not have to eat tons of OAs to do it (minions are small risk)

While the swordmage parries Dante's first attack, the second slices him cleanly. Dante and Virgil slide back away from the front lines in unison, though Dante's eyes remain fixed on his quarry - at least, until he and Virgil suddenly pass out.

[sblock=Actions]Minor Action: Quarry on the Swordmage.
Standard Action - Twin Strike:
Attack 1 vs Swordmage: 1d20+10=13 AC, miss.
Attack 1 vs Swordmage: 1d20+10=21 AC, hit, 2d4+3=9 + 1d6(2)=11 damage..
Move Action: Dante moves to L3, Virgil shifts to L4.

Dante's Saving Throw: 1d20=6, fail, asleep.
Virgil's Saving Throw: 1d20=9, lizard is nap too.
Sigh, some day I'll have a fight where Dante doesn't spend most of it dazed or unconscious...

Renquist isn't phased by the charging hunters. Perhaps his new root armor has something to do with this.

Renquist focuses on his great sword and the blade bursts into dark energy. His blade slices into the goliath, dark energy smiting the giant. The blow marks him with the doom of Lauto. Renquist then follows Dante's lead, moving north.

Unfortunately, he succumbs to the Shard Monster's attack, falling to the ground.

[sblock=actions] Minor: Bless Weapon: +1 to attack rolls, +1d6 damage. Creatures vulnerable to radiant subject to critical at 18-20.
Standard: Ardent Strike vs. Goliath Thug (O5): 1d20+7+1, 1d10+3+1d6 → ([8, 7, 1], [7, 3, 3]). Roll Lookup He is marked with Divine Sanction TENT. Dark Reaping damage:
1d8+3 → [5,3] = (8) Roll Lookup . So goliath hit for 21 damage.
Move: Shift to M4.

ooc: hey all. Don't forget to use the bonus attack you get when spending an AP in the presence of a bravura warlord. Max can see all of you. Haruka used it and she kicked some serious arse. :)

[sblock=AP Bravura Presence]

Bravura Presence

When an ally I see spends an action point to take another action to use it as an attack, the ally can choose to take advantage of this feature before the attack roll. If the ally chooses to do so and the attack hit, the ally can choose to make a basic attack or a move action as a free action after the AP action. If the AP attack misses, the ally grants CA to all enemies TENT.

[/sblock]

ooc: does max get to attack again or wait until the bad guys attack. I'm confused. :-S

Following Haruka's lead, the genasi unleashes hell on the large, horned foe. A blast of flames covers the battlefield, burning the large enemy and causing some minor wounds to the crystal creature as well. Then Ashir calls upon the teachings that Haruka unlocked and called a beast composed of primordial flames onto the field. It looked confused for a moment, as the genasi then conjured a sphere of flames between the goliath and the horned foe.

It growled angrily as it bit into the goliath, causing a debilitating wound, but the strain was felt by Ashir for ignoring the creature.

[sblock=Tome]
Just a reminder to me:

Property: When you use a wizard fire power that can be sustained through this tome, you regain hit points equal to the tome’s enhancement bonus each round that you sustain the power while bloodied. For example, if you used the flaming sphere power with a tome of the replenishing flame +2, you would regain 2 hit points each round you sustain the flaming sphere while you are bloodied. [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Imagine if Ashir had selected some of those party-friendly powers, like Winged Horde... yeah that would be nice right now...

Move: To Y18
Standard: Burning Hands (T-X 13-17) vs ref (horned; shard); fire damage (half on miss) (1d20+8=21, 1d20+8=12, 2d6+9=13) hits Horned Terror for 13 and Shard Monster for 6.
Minor: Summon Magma Beast at AA14
AP: Summon Flaming Sphere @ Y14 - it does
fire dmg (1d4+9=10) at start of adjacent creature's turn, I believe that will drop the Horned Terror combined with Haruka's ongoing damage & the goon will die.

*end of turn - Ashir didn't give the beast any commands so intrisic nature comes into play. It attacks the goliath - vs ref; fire dmg (1d20+8=21, 1d10+9=19) hits for 19 fire + 5 ongoing fire & slowed (save ends) & Ashier is slowed TENT

"Two can play that game!" shouts Rocco as he starts his whirling dance. Weird as it may be seeing a dwarf tip-toeing and pirouetting, the effectiveness cannot be denied. Two closest hunters fall down and big goliath gets cut. Rocco suddenly arrests his momentum with big swing toward the swordmage, which he deftly sidesteps and Rocco looks at him hatefully for a moment before his eyes roll back and he slumps down.

[sblock=Actions]

Move: Shift to N5

Damage (1d6+8=12)

AP: Villain's Menace vs Swordmage AC (1d20+8=13, 2d6+8=14) - there goes my daily :( still +1 to hit +2 damage vs swordmage

Mark everyone
