[Adventure] The Mine-Militia Identity. (DM: horticulture; Judge: covaithe)

Sharpe liked the sound of "glory" and of "carving our names in history", but for once in his life felt sad. He just met the dragon, he wanted to stay with it for ever...and ever...and ever...and ever...and ever...

Dragon! Sharpe shouts giving the creature a big hug. I always wanted to be friends with a dragon, the bard says crying. Ever since I was a child. But father would never let me near his dragons. He said they were more ferocious if you did not feed them much and he said I would get killed if I went close...

But I'll show him! Sharpe shouts triumphantly. I show him that dragons and evil dark lords can coexist peacefully with one another, if not with the rest of humanity. That they can work together, hand in claw, for a darker, more dismal tomorrow!

That is my dream! With his last breath he shall... he looks around. He just remembered that Sir Felix of Dragon Food did not like that sort of talk. To distract Felix he takes out a chunk of smoked ham from his pack.

Hungry? he says offering it to the dragon. I know it is not up to the standard you are used to, but it is better than bugbear I suppose.

What is your name by the way. My name is Sharpe Wellington, feared bard of the tri-island area! he says proudly.

GM: ..., standard PC stuff.
How about leveling? We had two combats and a skill challenge?! ;)

"I'm glad you see the wisdom of this alliance." says Drew giving evil eye to crazy bard speech. "Worst thing I could do is kill a dragon on my first mission without the master."

"So, how do we proceed? How many bugbears remain? How many duergar are here with you and what happened to the dwarves and militia men?"

Felix stands agape, listening to Sharpe and the dragon. It's when Sharpe actually uses the phrase "Evil dark lord" that Felix realizes he can't take the bard seriosly anymore. Obviously the man was delusional.

Silently smirking, he heads off to retrieve his longsword and check the bodies of the fallen.

Prime spends some time repairing himself, using some spare pieces he retrieves from a hidden compartment at his side; after that, he stands vigilant near the southern doors while the others search the bugbears.

OOC: spending another HS to top hit points

GM: I'll have to check the encounter experience but I don't believe you guys have gotten enough experience to level yet. You're probably very close, however.

I'll post something in a few hours.

edit: Also, you've all reached a milestone and gained an AP.

OOC: I'm certainly not opposed to leveling, but I also don't see the adventure lasting terribly much longer. I do have a character waiting in my brain, hoping to escape, though. Also, Felix's statblock follows.

Edit: Also, don't foget about that huge pile of time XP we'd be getting... It might even bump us to level 2.

GM: Tragically, the group has not received enough experience to gain a level, even with time experience included.

The dragon is definitely taken aback, a surprised look plastered on his face, by Sharpe's overwhelming display of affection and emotion but says nothing until asked his name.

"My name is Malifixindalaunt," he says, taking the proffered ham in one claw.

"As to how we shall proceed, one of those bugbears you've slain carries a key to the lower level. I'm sure you'll find it on their battered bodies," the dragon states before shoving the entire ham into his razored maw.

As if on cue, Felix comes across an iron key tucked away in a belt pouch tied to one of the bugbear's wearing the dark leather armor. He also find a goodly amount of coins and other worthless sundries on the bodies. Stashed beneath the over-sized throne the dragon was sitting on lays a heavy suit of plate armor, textured and rough to the touch.

The wyrmling continues, "There is a small contingent of duergar on that level, attempting some profane ritual to attain infernal powers they believe lay within. The dwarves managed to escape to the lower levels ahead of the dark dwarves and barricade themselves in some tunnels; there they remain, unless their defenses have been breached."

"I require a moment to rest to recover from your onslaught," Malifixindalaunt finishes, peering over his many wounds.

GM: Below are the stats for the wyrmling. He's been written up as a companion character until the end of the adventure. When he returns - at a later level - I'll rewrite him as a mount.

You'll be responsible for running the character; he'll have his own initiative for the first round of any encounter and will then go with the rest of the characters as normal.

Also, take note of his current hit points and spend surges for him accordingly.

"Pleased to meet you Fix." Felix says with a genuine smile. He calls out to the group, "Found his key. I've also got a fist full of coins and this armor looks salvageable. Prime, think you can put it to use?"

He takes some tools from his hidden compartment, and uses them to make a hole in the breastplate for the tiles. Then he dismounts his own plating, replacing them for the newfound armor after some minor modifications.

To honor the occasion of "Sharpe's" new dragon, Sharpe sings a song from his youth. He sings of the times he used to pretend he had his own dragon.

OOC: A dragon, thanks! :D

Sharpe is using Song of Rest, +5 to healing surge value for everyone.

Sharpe will spend a surge for full HP, and the dragon will spend 2 surges for full HP.
