I just think that had Mercer not existed and Mearls had written this setting exactly as is, people would not only not be complaining, they'd be praising WotC for making a fresh setting for a change.Personally there are a few other people that have created great settings that I would like WotC to allow to made as an official setting. The World of Farland is pretty cool imho.
But that is probaly pure fantasy![]()
If Mercer didn't exist, I think Mearls would have worked on a 5e Greyhawk.I just think that had Mercer not existed and Mearls had written this setting exactly as is, people would not only not be complaining, they'd be praising WotC for making a fresh setting for a change.
They screwed that setting up enough since Gygax left.If Mercer didn't exist, I think Mearls would have worked on a 5e Greyhawk.
Which is why a proper cleanup would be most welcome. They screwed that setting up enough since Gygax left.
I think you're missing the point. If Mercer didn't exist, I think Mearls would have worked on a 5e Greyhawk.
Considering that Mearls didn't work on this book, Mercer's existence isn't relevent to that.If Mercer didn't exist, I think Mearls would have worked on a 5e Greyhawk.
True. They screwed that setting up enough since Gygax left.

True.
Yeah, how are you going to do that without pissing off some GH fans? Some want it rebooted to the original boxed set. Some people like the Carl Sergeant era. Some like the Adventure Begins/Living Greyhawk Gazzetter era. Some want all the Living Greyhawk changes to become official. Some want the Paizohawk stuff to be official.Which is why a proper cleanup would be most welcome.
