Ancient Artifact - Exalted Feat

I am thinking about taking the above feat for my third level feat. I was just wondering if anybody else had tried thsi feat and is it a good feat to take. The DM of our game hasn't said yes to the feat yet, but i am hoping to eventually go into Vassal of Bahamut, if i can keep on the path of good.

Basically it is a feat for a single magic item.
It depends on how stingy your DM is with magic. Since I am very stingy this feat would be useful in my campaigns. The item will prolly end up costing a little more than an ordinary item
because you have to pay full base price, but you can sacrifice useless items for full value.
I really like the flavor of items leveling up with Characters, and my next campaign will use a revised creation system, with this as a major option.
