Angel 3/19 (Spoilers)

Ok, can someone clarify this for me (I could find it on the tape again I guess but...) - did Willow say to Fred something like "I'm seeing someone"!?!?!? I mean what's up with that? :)

Willow is seeing Kennedy, one of the slayer wannabes over on Buffy, if I recall correctly.

This episode kicked major arse:) Faith and Willow rules. They should be in the next spinoff. My favorite part of the show was when Faith 'spanked' the extremely gullible Connor

I can see Willow, who was just in and out for a few hours, Connor, who doesn't really know all that much about people, and Faith (see Willow) missing that something's seriously wrong with Cordy. But Fred, Lorne, Wes, and Gunn don't have that excuse.

The 4 you mentioned haven't seen much of Cordy in the last few days or so. There is no reason for them to suspect her in the slightest. Connor is the only one who has been near her for any stretch of time and he isn't exactly telling everyone what is going on. Works for me.

Willow is a powerful witch but not like she can read minds.

Sure she can. She is just being a good witch and not doing it. :D
In one of the recent Buffy's she has a whole planning session with Xander and Buffy. Which, BTW is another example of Whedon using a flashback to explain current actions, leaving us in the dark until the plan comes through. Also, the psychic conversation was instigated by Buffy, who simply thinks "Willow, can you hear me?" So I think Willow often eavesdrops on loud thoughts. Pure speculation though.

Hmmm, interesting. I don't think she does it that often. In times where finese is needed she probably kicks it in. She doesn't seem to be the type to always have it on. I guess it all depends on the situation.

Yeah, Conner was pretty gullible. I'm still willing to spot him it, though. He was raised to hate Angel and Evil Cordy is just telling him to do something he's been fantasizing about for like seventeen years now. Expecting him to pass this up when he has even the loosest rationale is a bit like expecting Scooby to forgo a Scooby Snack.

Sure he's had a little time to work through his daddy issues, but he's been out of his Hell dimension for what, six months? Just when they're starting to make progress (I'm thinking of the banter in Habeas Corpses especially), they go and turn Angel back into the soulless monster he was taught his father was in the first place.

Plus he's too cute to hate. What happened to that shirt of Angel's he wore that one episode? That was so much nicer than the shirts they keep putting him into these days.

It could be that at some point she tought Buffy to think loud enough for her to hear. I don't know. It was definitely Buffy that started the mental conversation, though. It was in Showtime, the episode where Buffy fights the ubervamp in the construction yard so the potentials can get a morale boost.

Hmm, I had just presumed it was a spell that Willow had cast some time prior, probably at Buffy's request so that they can talk frankly amongst themselves while the SIT are around, and to avoid any possible easedropping by enemies. The Scoobies have used a group Mind Link before "while Buffy was dead and they were patrolling, with Willow acting all Professor X link-hub/general if I recall correctly. I seem to recall at some point she was attacked and the mind link cut out, which suggested to me that she had to,to some degree, concentate to maintain it and not an ability she simply Has at will or anything (or at least no more at will than any other magic she throws around :) ).

But, that was just my impression.

While that is certainly possible I think it may be attributed more to the fact that they are such close friends and can read each other very well. I had a friend like that. He and I could pretty much communicate without words if needed, Willow just happens to be able to be very smart AND be able to actually read her mind. :) All Buffy has to do is look at her a certain way and Willow knows to listen. I'm sure Xander may be in on that circle as well.
