Angel 3/19 (Spoilers)

Hmm, I had just presumed it was a spell that Willow had cast some time prior, probably at Buffy's request so that they can talk frankly amongst themselves while the SIT are around, and to avoid any possible easedropping by enemies. The Scoobies have used a group Mind Link before "while Buffy was dead and they were patrolling, with Willow acting all Professor X link-hub/general if I recall correctly. I seem to recall at some point she was attacked and the mind link cut out, which suggested to me that she had to,to some degree, concentate to maintain it and not an ability she simply Has at will or anything (or at least no more at will than any other magic she throws around :) ).
Another viable possibility. See above response for more of my thoughts. ;)

Yep. I think you're both right. The, dare I say it, [Hivemind] :D spell could have lasting effects, which combined with their intimate knowledge of one another allows them to know when to use it.

The episode was FABULOUS!!

It was great here was Faith "i cant hurt anyone. Ive changed" and then we see the darker side to Angel's soul. Even he had done things he wasnt proud of while souled.

And the best line? "Break me of a switch son, There's gonna be a whoopin'"

And yes, i HATE Connor. Never liked him. But hes important, i know.

And as we all know from Joss' writings, when someone wheres black velvet or black leather, you must be evil.

And did anyone cath the Mandy reference? Remember, when he FIRST sang for Lorne, he sang Mandy. When Cordy first sang, she sang the Whitney Houstin song 'The Greatest Love', which, she sang on Buffy 1st season 'The Puppet Show'

Everything is coming back to first season. On Angela nd Buffy, both themes this go around is all about Redemption.

The 4 you mentioned haven't seen much of Cordy in the last few days or so. There is no reason for them to suspect her in the slightest. Connor is the only one who has been near her for any stretch of time and he isn't exactly telling everyone what is going on. Works for me.

Sure there is. Keeping everyone but Connor away from her is radically out of character.

My favorite lines, not so much in the words themselves as in the way they were delivered:

GUNN: I just wish I could've seen you kickin' the crap outta junior here.

FAITH: It was pretty funny.

Both laugh.

And with Conner having just apologized and slouching shamefaced in the corner -- I nearly busted a gut.

For those of you in New York (or elsewhere where they cut the last five minutes), Aint It Cool News has a transcript of the last five minutes. The link is near the top right of the main page.

Thank you very much. I missed the last 15 minutes, but can't blame them for going to the war story.

On to Conner. Conner is so poorly written, it is hard to tell how much of the character portrayal is poor acting. Conner grew up in a hell dimension so tough that it was surely a death sentance. He shows none of the hard edged trauma and emotional wall that he would have had to built to survive there as the hunter he was portrayed to be.

Also the only other part that bothers me, Cordy. The evil Cordy story line has some holes. These people have had the crap beat out of them how many times and Cordy wound to the leg was not bad enough for hospitalization, yet no one checks on her. Seems highly unlikely to me. Why wouldn't she be hobbling around down stairs with the others?

I really liked this episode and am sad I missed the climax. Last thing I saw was the soul jar breaking :(

Umm Cordy has no Story Holes.

They have been worried about Angelus. The most viscious vampire of all time (there are many prophecises written about him), they were trying to keep him from killing people and dealing with the beast.

Connor has watched over her and they know the boy can hold his own. It makes sense. Angel, the man she loves isnt there.

Fred cant protect her. And Wesley and Gunn are two of the maiin fighters, and Lorne has been doing his own magick thing.

It all makes sense

I was a little disapointed that Willow didnt even seem to get a tingle off Cordelia. even if it wasnt enough to act on, I find it hard to believe someone as magicaly powerful as her would be able to be that close to someone who's either possesed by, or actualy is, some extremely powerful force of supernatural evil and not get the slightest vibe. I guess it could have been shielding itself but heck Cordelia was planning to kill Willow with that knife when she was right their. Of course I guess its just to soon.
Personaly, I think it might be the BABY thats possessed and controlling cordelia's body.
But it was a great episode overall. Willow doing her magic thing and faith kicking Connor's butt being special highlights. Willows androgynous comment was rather fun.
I think Connor needs some work. He is to darn gullible...especialy like someone said after Cordelia barred her door to an incorporeal head and smacked him with a lamp or whatever. And her little speech was to me not very in character for Cordelia either IMO. Connor's kind of nice to have around to look at but thats being largely counteracted by his bad attitude.
Of course I tend to dislike people who try to say magic is useless quite a lot :::-)

I forgive Willow for her lack of magical insight.

I'm about to sound like Andrew here, so forgive me. Cordelia is just like Palpatine, she obviously has some sort of Hide Dark Side Points power that makes it so she can hang next to the good guys and not be sensed by almost any magical probe. (he he I said probe).

If the Bad Cordy thing is related to the First, then it really makes sense. The First is obviously capable of spending days among the Coobies and not be detected, ala Eve.
