Archivist utility spells

Herzog

Adventurer
I'm currently working on an Archivist build.
I plan to make him Knowledge and Utility focussed.

I can start at lvl 9.
This means I have some money to throw around equipping my character with the spells I really want.
I noticed the group has no rogue, and I was wondering which (divine) spells could be used to 'replace' the rogue. (if any)

Also, any suggestions for other utility spells are welcome.
(only other caster in the group is a Warmage, so all utility casting will have to come from my char.....)

First off, visit a temple of a god with the Travel domain, and obtain divine scrolls of basically every single domain spell. That one domain's quite the resource for utility! Next, do the same with a god offering Trickery, Water, Magic, Knowledge, Earth, and Air.

Also, get your hands on the following spells: Divine Insight, the Planar Ally line, the Summon Monster line, Tongues, Silence, Shatter, Create Food and Water, Break Enchantment, Divination, Discern Lies, Restoration, Scrying, Wall of Stone, Raise Dead, Plant Growth, Quench, Mass Resist Energy, Speak with Plants/Animals/whatever, Commune with Nature, Undetectable Alignment, and DISPEL MAGIC.

Should start you out in the utility department...

That is what I made This Thread for.

Quick answer, Divine Insight(as @Empirate mentioned), Wieldskill and Master's Touch will provide a level 9 Archivist with a +23 to any skill check. Cast Divine Insight early in the day and it'll last 9 hours waiting for you to discharge it as an immediate action for a +14 bonus. Wieldskill has a shorter duration so you'll have to wait until you need it, but will allow you to use skills that require being trained in it, because that's part of the awesomeness of the spell. Master's Touch is an immediate action, so you tack it on for the extra +4 when you really need it.

Since Divine Insight and Master's Touch are level 2 spells and Wieldskill is a level 1, it would be useful to have them as wands. See how your DM rules casting time for wands for Master's Touch, since it's usefulness comes in being an Immediate action, it might be more practical to memorize this one if using a wand to cast a spell is a Standard action.

Go over the rest of the thread and select spells as they suit you.
