Assault on Stormbringer Castle (D&D 3.5) [OOC]

Right. Since natural armor is innate to a lot of creatures most things get a bonus on top of their NA. Nothing normally has a 'racial' armor or deflection bonus (Except for Githzerai :p)

I was wondering why Price wise it cost as much as Deflection Bonus items since it is innately inferior due to Nat Armor not working against touch attacks, but since it can add to existing natural armor it makes it up a bit.

I'll follow the stacking rules as written in the rulebooks as best I can.

So, you would be unable to stack two bonuses to the same ability score (i.e. Cloak of Charisma +2 and Necklace of Charisma +1 wouldn't stack). And I think the Natural Armor question has been clarified.

OK all, I changed my mind again! LOL 12th level human cleric 6 / radient servent of pelor (other sun goddess, can't remember her name) 6 I felt like there was gonna be some mass healing needed, so I am taking the healing domain and with the maximize healing ability, I'll be dishing out some HPs.

Also, I am struggling with the magic items. I have roughly 10k left and am trying to figure out how to spend it. I looked over the magic items book and think I popped a vessel.

I have armor (+1 breastplate), I have a weapon (+1 large, keen, spell storing scimitar), I have a shield (+1 large steel w/ animated power). I have an amulet of nat armor +1 (I suppose I could bump it 1), I have gauntlets of ogre power. I have a tunic of +5 concentration.

I suppose I'm looking for ideas. Would like to bump my st up another 2, but it's too expensive. Perhaps my dex up by two, but gloves slot is taken.

ideas?

Finally got a sheet going. Still WIP, but I'll finish it up today.

Primary role will be trapper/skillmonkey/scout, with secondary emphasis on melee sneak attacks. In another game I might have used Scout instead of ranger/rogue, but the favored enemy bonus is nice...even if it may not apply to anything but the BBEG. :)

Old standbys would be a ring of deflection, cloak of resistance, handy haversack

a ring of sustenance rocks! you cant beat a belt of healing (Magic Compendium) for the price.

You can try to cover up some weak points in the character. Will he die if he has to swim or climb? You could get a ring of climbing/swimming or a rope of climbing/slippers of spiderclimb

etc etc

Clerics always should have a few Utility scrolls handy for spells like Restoration, Remove Disease or Remove Paralysis that they never wan't to memorize but come in damn handy when you need them.

Some of my favorite Items for under 10000? A Folding Boat and a Hat of Disguise

Most useless one I got once was a Periapt of Health for a Warforged Paladin... ;)

Good list of stuff for a healing cleric:

Amulet of Retributive Healing: 2k gold and 3/day you get the benefits of a healing spell you cast on someone else.

Armband of Maximized Healing: 7.2k gold, 3/day maximize a healing spell. Combine this with Radiant Servant and you'll rarely be rolling for healing :).

Healing Belt: 750 gold, 3 charges/day can be spent to do a bit of healing. 1 charge for 2d8, 2 charges for 3d8, 3 charges for 4d8.

Wand of Lesser Vigor: 750 gold, 50 charges, heals 11hp per charge at 1hp/round. Useless in combat, but the single most cost-effective item for healing up after a battle.

Ring of Mystic Healing: 3.5k gold, 3 charges per day can be spent to add to a healing spell. 1 charge for +2d6, 2 charges for +3d6, 3 charges for +4d6. Also provides +1 to caster level when casting healing spells.

Any combination of these under 10k would be pretty good (I'd lean towards Amulet, Armband, Wand, but that's just me. Any combo would be pretty spectacular for healing).
