Assault on Stormbringer Castle (D&D 3.5) [OOC]

Nac Mac Feegle said:
Well hey, if that's kosher you've just payed for your ring. Just get the arcane caster to cast a Greater Dispel into it every once in a while and you're good to go.

I think I will use regular Dispel in it. They probably would be more plentiful.

I don't get a choice of using the ring it automatically ruins the same spell cast at me.

So if I had a Greater Dispel in the ring it would do zip against a regular Dispel Magic.

Am I correct in this interpretation?

OnlytheStrong, we'll start with you. Character looks good and I only have a couple of things to point out.

1. You appear to have spent 33 points on your six stats.

18 Str = 16
13 Dex = 5
14 Con = 6
10 Int = 2
12 Wis = 4
8 Cha = 0

You'll need to trim a point from something.

2. You list a +4 for natural armor. I see the +2 from the amulet. Where is the additional +2 coming from?

Other than these two issues, your character looks good.

You were right about the extra attribute point, sorry about that. I trimmed my Int by a point. I re-adjusted my skills also. The +2 AC comes from my levels in Dwarven Defender.

The AC bonus goes up as follows:
+1 for levels 1-3
+2 for levels 4-6
+3 for levels 7-9
+4 for level 10

It's on page 188 of the DM guide.

Defensive Stance rules (more for me than for you :) )
Defensive stance also adds +2 to strength, +4 to consitution, a +2 resistance bonus on all saves, and a +4 dodge bonus to AC. Defensive stance also increases my hit points by 2 points per level, but they go away at the end of my stance and my Con score drops back 4 points. While in defensive stance, I cannot use skills or abilities that would require him to shift his position, such as Move Silently or Jump. Defensive stance lasts for 3+ the characters (newly improved) Con mod. At the end of the stance, the defender is winded and takes a -2 penalty to Strength for the duration of that encounter. This can only be used the number of times per day as determined by his level. It takes no time itself, but a defender can only do so during his action.

Voda Vosa, a couple of questions for you...

1. You appear to have spent 4 ranks less than you are allowed on skills. You should have gotten 16 ranks to spend at 1st level and then 3 per level after that.

2. Magic Eating Robe +4? What source is that from? I'm guessing Complete Arcane, but my book is at home and I can't look right now.

3. In your armor class, you list Misc. +4. What is that from? The Robe maybe?

Otherwise the character looks good.

Nac, your character looks good. I only noticed one problem...

1. You spent 42 points on skills but should have only had 40.

8 for 1st level Fighter, 10 for five additional levels in Fighter, 2 from one Sorcerer level and 20 for five levels in Arcane Archer for a total of 40 ranks.
