"Did someone say my name? *burp* Excuse me.

"Incense of Obsession, eh? Sounds cursed to me ... but that doesn't mean the lot of you couldn't use it against an enemy. If you give me a pearl, I'll identify it for you.

"Another thought, if one of you would pick up 5 or 6 pearls (about 100 GP each is fine), I'll be happy to identify items along the way during our adventure."

Turns away

"Come on now, lass! We won't bite!"

shoo anywey, theesesh goshtwize talk straight to yer headsh... theys dont shpeak like nor *burp* normal peepsh do... oh forget *hick*it. Wheersh thar vine!!

*Hic* Good schtory Masser Bramblefoots! Everyone! Join ush in singing mah favoritch drinkin song from the Shword Coast, the Glory of Adventure!

When the enemy's surrounding,
and we think our nerves will fail,
when we hear the trumpets sounding,
and they make us quake and quail,
grab your mug and we'll be pounding
down another round of ale!

And we'll drink,
to the glory of adventure!

If there ever comes the day
when we think that we are lost,
when we think that we must pay
that most dear and final cost,
we'll just pass around the tray,
and feel better when we're sauced!

And we'll drink,
to the glory of adventure!

When we're angry and upset,
'cause we ain't been getting paid,
when we're tired, cold and wet,
and a little bit afraid,
we'll keep drinking and forget
that we ever were dismayed!

And we'll drink,
to the glory of adventure!

When the boredom makes us jumpy,
and the motion makes us ill,
when the food is cold and lumpy,
a disgusting, slimy swill,
there's no reason to be grumpy;
tap the keg, and drink your fill!

And we'll drink,
to the glory of adventure!

When the captain's really sore,
'cause he thinks he's being mocked,
when he's pounding on our door,
and we're certain to get socked,
have a drink, and tease him more;
we'll feel nothing if we're crocked!

And we'll drink,
to the glory of adventure!

A goodly shong, masster Lushius. Now, lemme show you how we sizng is fhair Lurien...

with a loud bang Darabrac's head hits the table. He is quite passed out. It is then you notice he was drinking human sized portions. Perhaps he didnt know they came in smaller sizes...

Who let these drunks in here?

Ahem.

I might be interested in that Bastard sword if Lenet is not. My previous magically enhanced melee weapon was lost when I closed the portal in Aerunedar, and it would be nice to replace it....

However, if Lenet wants it, I will be happy to settle with the wand of nondetection, the potion, and any share of gold left over.

Keith here

ooc: I am updating my character sheet and I say we work on our equipment purchases now that we know how much money the characters have. How do we handle this DM? Should we pool our money and then buy? How do we keep track of pooled equipment like wagons and such? Should we decide what we need and then have people buy the items and keep them? I am now relatively rich and it doesn't matter to me but I don't know about others.

Out of character ...

OOC: Hey all ... some advice: don't be so hasty to cash in magic items! Although they don't seem useful now, it's tougher to get a magic item back than it is to get gold. For example, that wand on non-detection ROCKS if you're trying to go into a Wizard's lair or anytime you feel yourself being scryed upon. Just a thought ...

To Keith -- Dude.. why don't you have yourself an animal companion? It's much easier to have a companion hawk scout around than it is to waste a shape change for the day! Or perhaps a bear, wolf, etc... act like a druid! :)

Okay, that's all. I'm psyched for Sunday!

As I mentioned earlier, one person (Mike seems to have taken up the task) should compile a complete list of the equipment, gear, supplies, animals, etc. to be purchased. If you need ideas, an online list is here.

Once you have a complete list, with a total price according to the PHB, I will adjust for inflation (due to the civil war in Cormyr). Then you can all split the cost evenly.

And as I said, if it's not on your list, you'll be trying to get it "on the trail." I won't listen to any pleas along the lines of, "But we intended to buy it..."

'Cause I'm a Magnificent Bastard of a DM! ;)
