Just finished THE DRAGON WAITING by John M. Ford last night. I'd heard a lot of great reviews about this book, and I'd bought it literally years ago; it's been on my must-read stack for a long time. It was pretty good, but it won't be in my top-ten list of favorites. If I ever want to run a campaign in an alternate European Renaissance setting, I'll definitely pick it back up for ideas, though.

Next up: BLACKSTAFF by Schend. I hope to finish it before next week, because there's nothing coming between me and DZUR next week. (Well, nothing except a 13 hour drive to GenCon...)

I just finished Benford's Great Sky River. I just started Pawn of Prophecy (oddly, I've never read the Belgariad, or anything else by Eddings), and then go through the rest of the series. That should keep me occupied for a few days. I'm not sure what I've got on tap after that, probably Willis' Passage.

I'm reading a science fiction novel, The Engines of God, by Jack McDevitt. I'm about two-thirds of the way into it, and it's been very good thus far. It's basically about archaeology of alien civilizations on other planets, and the search for the Monument Makers, an alien civilization that has left these beautiful monuments scattered all over the cosmos.

I just finished re-reading The Riddle-Master of Hed, by Patricia McKillip. Now I need to find the my copies of the next two books so I can read them again. :)

I'm reading The Devil's Armor by John Marco, book two of his Inhumans trilogy. The first book and this one, so far, have been fairly average. Nothing about the characters, the world, or the story has really stood out. It's not bad, per se, just...average.

Reading both Evermeet and The Lies of Locke Lamora.

Evermeet is getting better, the beginning sucked hard, but I'm enjoying it now.

TLoLL is pretty good so far, though not as 'omfg awesum lolz' as everyone was making it out to be. Then again, I'm not that far into it.
