Average AC for 10th lvl *RTTTOEE SPOILER AHEAD*

Looks like the equipment is well within the gp limit for 10th level characters, so this is not the problem.

Do you realize that each of these characters have a touch AC of 12? I would exploit that from time to time. Ghost touch weapons would also work well here. Of course, you should not have all their opponents do this, or it will look like you are screwing them over, which would be true. :D

Also, what kind of opponents do they face? A fire giant or two might hit them, as will a Roper, both of which are CR 10 monsters. Perhaps have them fight opponents with better attack bonuses.

I am sure others will give you more good ideas.

Also, tell me if I'm right, when a PC want to upgrade his armor/weapon bonus, I let them pay a wizard to do it. The price, in that case, is the difference between what he has with what he want. Is that how we can do it? [/B]

Yes, that's gist of it. It's a DM perogative how much to charge for it.

However, if the practice of letting PCs do this is unbalancing your game (which, from the sounds of things, it is), I would heartily recommend discontinuing the process of allowing people to buy anything but the most mundane magical items. Weaning your PCs off purchasable magic may be hard, but just remember that in the end it makes for a much more balanced campaign. Just tell your players that wizards aren't in the business of wasting experience points to make items they will never use themselves.

Also, like suggested above, make liberal use of touch attacks and spells with saves that your PCs are poor against.

rings of protection do not stack with any equipped armor. They need to lower their AC by one as they don't work with full plate or any equipped armor.

That's 2E. In 3E, they stack just fine. :)

Yes, as hong said.

A ring of protection gives a deflection bonus to AC. Armor gives an armor bonus. Since they are not the same named bonus, they stack.

The AC looks ok, also remember that they pay for it with lower movement, so feel free to use monks with spring attack as well as a couple archers as well :) Or, if you really don't like it, throw a rust monster...

hum my cleric is lvl 8 got 33ac and his in a high magic campaign (My DM problem give too much magic item away...)

Base = 10
Dexterity 12 = 1
Demon Armor = 12
Large Metal Shield +2 = 3
Bracer +7 = 7

(I'm pretty sure bracer shouldn't stake as it says that wearing both bracers make a tangible force around your PC as if he was wearing armor... But we count bracer as deflection bonus so they don't stack with rings and the like...)

In my RtToEE campaign I have 5 players all lvl 9 soon to be 10.

AC's are

Tank Fighter 24
Tank Cleric 22
Rogue 22
Ftr/Wiz 18 (25 w/ Shield spell) +4 more with Haste sometimes
Psion 21

That's why you have the AC that high - they don't stack like that.

Tank Fighter 24
Tank Cleric 22
Rogue 22
Ftr/Wiz 18 (25 w/ Shield spell) +4 more with Haste sometimes
Psion 21

Said wizard is immediate dispel magic bait - so none of the characters has an AC that is TOO high... particularly given RtToEE

In the campain I am in my 10th level Fighter(2)/Phy Warror(8) has a 25AC.

Full Plate +3 = 11
Dex for +1 = +1
Large Shield +2 = +3

I think these are in line with the BAB increases. You can expect most 10th level Fighters to have at least 16 BAB starting with a 14 ST. 10 from base, 3 from strength (Start with 14 and add 2 increase to 16), 1 from weapon focus, and 2 from magical weapon. This means they should be hitting them about half the time needing around a 10 on an attack roll.
