Bearded Female Dwarves: The Latest Word

Of coarse dwarven women have beards. In fact if a dwarf is ever with that of another race he often desires the use of a strap on. And by strap on I mean a false beard.

i think the name for that is merkin.

Platypi aren't mammals nor marsupials but Monotremes

Yes, quite correct, monotremes.

Platypus
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Subphylum: Vertebrata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Monotremata
Family: Ornithorhynchidae
Genus: Ornithorhynchus
Species: Ornithorhynchus anatinus

Monotremes are mammals.

And all that ginned-up art proof still slights the noble Dwarf Species.

Since Tolkien agrees too, we have a holy trinity.
Ever wondered why Tolkien never got knighted? That's why. Of course, female dwarves don't have beards. :]

Terry Pratchett has blown it now. He'll never get a knighthood either. You'll see...

This long gestation and incubation period has led to the misapprehension that dwarves are asexual, and that infant dwarves simply 'bud' from adult dwarves.

Your report is intriguing, and I wish to examine your supplemental data.

No offense taken, sir!

As a matter of fact, it is I who am the authority, and I cited the Good Mr. Pratchett's work only to demonstrate that that most successful fantasy author recognized the absolute necessity of a female dwarf being hirsute. Some benighted persons lacking understanding of this fact have doubted my assertion, had the timerity to question it publicly.

I have posted this thread in hopes of settling the matter once and for all time.

Yeah but the guy has magical shopping carts and flat worlds and... well I think he goes for more the humor fantasy element. I think you're just trying to spike sales of Gillette Woman's Trimming Razors in which you just HAPPEN to have a few hundred shares in.

Very OT

Monotremes are mammals.

As an off topic... systematic classification of animals isn't like math! While I have no idea if this is the case with the Ornithothynchus, it is very possible that a branch is argued about by the scientific community whether it should better fit in another place of the tree.

Really I have no idea about monotremes, but they are just a "level" below mammalia and some biologist might have raised a question whether they might be within their own class instead. Let's just keep in mind that "natures abhors hard boundaries" ;)

Of course this has little implications with dwarves really... :p

Everyone knows Dwarves have no female gender, and in fact have no gender at all, but reproduce by asexual budding.
Budding? Come on now, that's just silly.

The species does so have two genders. The females are called Elves.
