Bearded Female Dwarves: The Latest Word

Let us not forget that Peter Jackson also holds to the view that dwarf women have beards. From the Two Towers:

GIMLI: It's true you don't see many dwarf women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, they are often mistaken for dwarf men.

ARAGORN: It's the beards.

GIMLI: And this in turn has given rise to the belief that there are no dwarf women. And the dwarves just spring out of holes in the ground!

(That might only be in the extended cut - it is now a few years since I saw the theatrical edition).

Cheers!

Not only do my dwarf women have beards, I use the prattchet courtship rituals, which mainly consist of indirectly and with great ritual, inquiring what sex the other dwarf is.

A Player spent much of the game hinting that his dwarf was a woman, but this was never confirmed. His offers to date the human mage may have been an elaborate joke, which would not be out of his character. (The dwarf had been encouraged to leave home due to excessive humor) Esp since the mage showed a preference for elven women.

This thread is about played out, for those attempting to defend the purile notion that all female dwarves do not have beards are resorting to demands to prove their negative.

"Puerile"? Our dear and beloved father of the game... your child is 30yrs old now and he goes where he wants and has the dwarven girlfriends he prefers. You have no parental control over him anymore... :] :p ;)

Infantile in the extreme, as a matter of fact.

That is demonstrable by the lack of cogent argument offered by those who purport that the dwarven female is not facially hirsute.

Blustering about the number of years the game has been in print does not further the hopeless argumentation for beardless female dwarves.

Cleverly yours,
Gary
