How are you getting two attacks? Warlocks (which this conversation is about) don't get extra attack without Pact of the Blade - in which case you have better weapons than sticks. And the cantrip itself can combo with extra attack but can't grant it.

Pact of the blade and invocation for extra attack obviously.

I was responding only to the claim true strike was better than shilelagh.

If you meant true strike is better without extra attack then that’s obviously true.

Just to clarify

Thirsting Blade

Prerequisite: 5th level, Pact of the Blade feature

You gain the Extra Attack feature for your pact weapon only. With that feature, you can attack twice with the weapon instead of once when you take the Attack action on your turn.

Thirsting Blade only works with your Pact weapon; it's not a true extra attack. You can use Thirsting Blade with a light Shileleagh in your off hand for a single bonus attack (using Cha) but as all the attack action does is two attacks with your Pact weapon you can't then use it to nick, and a club isn't a nick weapon. (And it's not Shileleagh that's responsible for the bulk of the damage, but Thirsting Blade if you're making two attacks)

ok,
main hand attack club
off hand scimitar with nick. with nick mastery it's a part of Attack action.
you now trigger extra attack with scimitar via extra attack.
so 1 main hand attack shillelagh, 2 off hand attacks scimitar.

take dual wielder sometimes for Bonus action shillelagh main hand attack.

12th level invocation, 3rd off hand attack with scimitar.

Nice! And then you add dual wielder for a second club attack.
