We're rapidly approaching the end of this campaign and my players haven't decided if they want to make new characters and start a new campaign or keep going with their existing characters. They'll be around level 12 when we wrap up. Any suggestions for awesome level 12 adventures?
This is absolutely true. My players where heartily sick of snow and ice imagery by the end of the adventure. Whatever you do, send them somewhere warm!
Anyway, a quick list from Candlekeep:
The Curious Tale of Wysteria Vale (level 11). I ran this, it didn't go anything like the writer intended!
The Book of Inner Alchemy (level 12). I didn't run this one.
The Canopic Being (level 13). I ran this, the end boss is horribly underpowered for the level range. There is info you can use to flesh out Tashluta in FR wiki.
The Scriviner's Tale (level 14). My players avoided the hook for this adventure.
Alkazaar's Appendix (level 15). Am currently running this, benefits from fleshing out Anouroch. I also made it a race with a rival party.
Xanthoria (level 16). I relocated this to Tashluta, using the stuff I had put together for the Canopic Being, and added wilderness encounters.
Also, there is The Styles (level 11) from Ghosts of Saltmarsh. With a bit of tinkering I relocated this to Lusken, which is conveniently adjacent to Icewind Dale.
Edit: I remembered another adventure I teed up but the players didn't take the hook was Divine Contention (level 11-12) that is part of the Essentials Kit digital content. If they had tried to take a ship south from Lusken Jarlaxle (the current Hidden Lord) would have offered them passage on his ships Icingdeath and Twinkle, and manage to "accidently" drop them off in Leilon as it's was about to come under attack. As it happened the party prefered to travel by teleportation so they didn't do that one.
There's some options here. I'm going to think about Against the Giants and check out Candlekeep. I love the Styes, I forgot that it was this high level.
