Because a Valor Bard does not have a full compliment of Wizard spells and an AC approaching 30.
I get the feeling that your DM lets you have lots of rests.

None of your posts seem to even indicate awareness that slots or other uses-per-rest can be limited.

Is it less than they had before? Yes. It's a nerf. If you want to qualify that it's not a big nerf mechanically, that's fine.

But I still disagree with you, losing light armor is a large nerf because in addition to the AC component you mentioned, I continue with my thematic component that you ignored -- bladesingers started as elven fighter/magic-users and have always had access to armor. So this breaks their lore. But I will give you that if you only care about the mechanics of the subclass then it's not that big of a nerf.
So what I would do if I was running A game is just make specific armor

Elven Chainmail: Attunement, Rare
Chainmail +1: while attuned to this armor you are considered proficient with it. It has no stealth penalties and no strength requirement. You count as not wearing any armor for the purpose of bladesong

Elven Plate: Attunement, Very Rare
Platemail +1: while attuned to this armor you are considered proficient with it. It has no stealth penalties and no strength requirement. You count as not wearing any armor for the purpose of bladesong.

How I'm reading this is: the class is missing the thematic issue bad enough that I'm going to homebrew items to give it back to them.

Sure, we can all homebrew, be it items or rules directly to give them back light armor. That we feel the need to just shows how the new subclass isn't being true to it's own lore.

If you want to actually go back to the beginning of their lure it had nothing to do with them knowing how to wear armor it was the fact that elven chain and Elvin plate had magical properties that allowed them to cast while wearing. That's why to me the easiest idea is to just make it as a magical item as opposed to giving it to the class. For all we know they might do just that in the book and add special Alvin armor so that people who want to play a blade dancer with Elvin armor can.

An addition according to the rules you can fluff your major armor to look however you want so the spell major could easily just look like you wearing plate mail. Now to me that is a big difference between actually wearing armor so I can understand how or why someone would feel the relying on that was a problem with lore but it is at least cosmetic solution to the blade singer as written.

cries in martial

And as always, If I wish to play a caster why should I use these dumb features and if I wish to play a magic-swordman tell me why I should give up my spellcasting? If I can cast a Fireball to deal everyone a 8d6 why should I deal only 2d8+5+1d6(if true strike) for a turn?
Because spell slots aren't unlimited? Also it's 2 attacks, one of which is better than a regular attack.

Why should the guy without fireball attack for less damage?

It is the way that the feedback is being asked in the survey. If you tick Green, there is no further need for comment. If you tick yellow or Red, they ask you why.
