Mardigan looks at Khoros in an odd sort of way " No.... No way. Our job is to pick up our cargo before it is sold out. We need to go there straight away. So I vote we go around. Complete the ob first, side-mysteries can be handled later."

OOC: ON a side note, you're doing a much better job than I could have stonegod. Keep it up :)
Thanks! :)

That's one for, and one against. I'll need a tie breaker from ajanders or DH (unless IatT shows back up).

Kenn pulls his lip thoughtfully, as if he had levels in knowledge arcana or religion, which he doesn't.

"It strikes me that Brews would probably take away our adventurer free drinks card if we came back to him and said:
"Brews, old tod, we've got your beer right here. Serve it slowly, because your supplier was attacked by a horde of zombie warforged moaning "Gears! Gears! Geeaaars!" and horribly ripped to pieces.""

He pauses a moment to rearrange some punctuation in his head.

"At the same time, I don't want to spend the night in some drafty ruin without any pretty girls or decent alcohol. Let's spend an hour or two casing the ruins:if we can't find any tracks or signs of evil we can be on our way with clear consciences."

Khuther Qbyer Dwarf Sorcerer

'Thers something strange here for sure' 'this warforged are in some way twisted in their creation or manipulation' 'look at their runes their both almost gone in destruction' 'my vote is for investigation'

Kenn sighs and looks around for a bigger knife.
"Kuther, you're supposed to be sensible and not agree with me!"

Frustrated with the lack of bigger knives, he walks into the woods and starts tugging on a tree limb.
One loud crack later, he comes back trimming the stems from his new improvised club.

"Fine. Two votes for, my half vote for, and one against. Khuther, you and Khoros had better start us off quickly, before I stop going insane."

Mardigan nods in agreement with Kenn Yeah really Kenn. I'd think you would want to avoid warforged zombies. Like, at any cost. I'll do it, but please let's hurry.[/cyan]

"If these ruins are a threat to the locals, we should look into it. This has been a pretty long trip, and we've made reasonably good time so far. A few hours to check out the ruins should be fine, and if we do encounter substantial resistance we can head into town to recover and take care of business at the same time."

ooc: My account is working again. Thanks for your patience.

Reluctantly agreed, the group trudges up the hill towards the ruins. As they get closer, it is clear that a fire gutted it in the not too recent past---anything above the ground floor has long since crumbled away. The ground floor is largely rubble as well, though a bit of checking by Khoros finds scrambled 'forged tracks coming from what appears to be a separate entrance to a basement.

A quick glance down the stairs only shows darkness.

Rio will sweep the area with his detect evil power.

"We'll need some light. I've got a couple of torches, but I'd rather keep both hands on my sword."
