Blood and Fists news

Hey Vig. How'd you like Game Mechanics' Martial Arts Mayhem and the use of three of your Blood & Fist feats? ;)

I guess they're giving you some kind of props.

I appreciated that they liked the book enough to use some of it certainly. They were also pretty gracious about the way they asked, and the way they used them, so just complimented all the way around :)

I did this because (and indeed as a part of) the writing of my next book, Blood and Fists II: Hong Kong Knights.

Hmmm.

How about "Blood and Fists II: Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting"?

"Blood and Fists: Reninjad"?

Actually- Meditation and Zen Mastery were folded into Concentration. Pressure Points is very narrow... but I like the way it works.

We like the way it works, too--and this comes from a group who've been converting BnF to d20 on the fly.

We've especially enjoyed the flanking effect, because of the teamwork attacks that this encourages.

It has been the case, however, that no one's taken Med. or Z.A.

At any rate, we're very much looking forward to the next supplement!

P.S. On the qt, I request more grappling techniques-JM.

Thanks for kudos jesse :)

On the wrestling, I already have two wrestling styles, and two wrestling maneuvers in the book, which isnt bad considering I'm on page 5 :)

JPL... you're a strange strange man.

Hong Kong Knights is the working subtitle and could easily change. Its the working title for a new martial arts centric campaign.

However, the muse leads me not the other way around, so everything is subject to change.

I know, they're so good as companion volumes, that I acquired both of them.

You're improving, and that's impressive in my book.

P.S. Any chance we'll see any d20 Modern notes for Blood n' Space?

C'mon. "Reninjad." That's quality craftsmanship.

A modern-day Hong Kong setting would be great.

I was doing some research for a 1930s Shanghai setting a month or two back...lots of potential there, between the exiled Shaolin and the grizzled Russian bodyguards and Tong Wars and South Seas pirates and lost Cambodian temples...very good for Indiana Jones meets Jack Burton hijinx...

Do you have an ETA for B&FII or the revised original?

Thanks for that, that's my primary goal. I jumped into this business feet first. Vigilance was the first game I ever designed, and Blood and Space was the second. I probably should have taken a slower route and done the message board route first, but I was getting paid and people seemed happy so I just rolled with it and never looked back. However, I see lots of rough edges in my older products.

On d20 Modern classes for BNS, that's something we've talked about a lot. At least as far as the classes are concerned it would probably be a good thing. I'll raise the discussion again and let you know. My feeling is that it probably could happen, and that it probably should.
