Break of Dawn [Manzanita judging] COMPLETED

"As i said, i know nothing of secret druids in these woods here. I must be on may way to check some traps. I'll be back after sunfall. You be staying here lill miss and we'll talk some more" He says to Aletheia with a big grin on his face. With that said he stands up and leaves for the exit.

Not much later the patron returns while balancing a number of plaes and some drinks. "Now then, here is your delightfull dinner! And some wine! I take it i can set you all up with a room for the night? Or maybe longer? An would you all be sleeping in seperate rooms?" He sets the plates and the wine on the tables in front of you and awaits your answer with a sheepish smile.

ooc: indeed, the orange part is what the trapper said.
RA: you -could- roll a sense motive if you think they're holding anything back...

Mordik will try to get the attention of the trapper before he leaves: Oi! I'd like to look at a trap or two that ye've been using. I got a bit of a gift for traps you see... To see one that's functional in trapping game! Why, it's free food, ainnit?! I'll give ya a few silver for your trouble of course!

Mordik nods thankfully when the food and drink is sat in front of him. He picks up a fork but before digging in stops thoughtfully: What price are rooms and how many have ye? And speaking of price: how much for the food and drink?

[sblock=packing]Sounds good to me. I'll add the two tents and remove the trail rations shortly.[/sblock]

"I might suggest that we get double rooms, myself," he says. "It might be dangerous to keep ourselves isolated in single rooms, especially with two of our number still new to fighting. At the very least, we should insist on adjacent rooms."

"Are you suspicious we could be in danger here?" whispers Odno. "This village's leaves on me an impression of peacefulness"

Quarion Holimion, Elven Druid

Quarion nods his head to Orrin, thanking him for the wine as the elf takes a seat at the table. "No food for me, thank you." Quarion sips at the wine, enjoying the company and thinking about the fine meal he will enjoy tonight with his wolf. But wolves cannot make wine, he thinks with a tiny hint of a smile.

Quietly, Quarion converses with Eanos and the others about sleeping arrangements. "Yes, perhaps it wise to sleep in pairs. I will have Garma, his nose and ears are sharper than ours, so you need not worry for me."

Eanos, human monk

Eanos nods. "Many dangerous things seem benign," he says. "The last inn I stayed at was riddled with secret passages perfect for an ambush. We don't know how far the reach of our quarry's guardians might extend. I'd rather be overcatious than dead."

[sblock=OOC]I struck the tents from Eanos' sheet, then.

I also missed that Mordik had an additional 10 rations from our benefactor. Party rations would still be burned through (including those 10), but I think those 10 mean individual rations from pre-adventure are still intact.

Oi, bookkeeping can be a bear. Math is not my friend... ;)[/sblock]

ooc: nobody believes the trapper is holding something back or telling half the truth. You're right about the GM rolls for sense motive.
Orrin has Common rooms and Common meals available. These are at the standard SRD price.
The trapper murmles something about 'Maybe later' in reply to Mordik's interest about the traps.

Not much later after the trapper leaves the inn more people start to enter the inn. There is also a musician who plays the flute and within less than an hour the inn is filled with cheerfull people entertaining themselves after a hard days work.

ooc: you can gather info if you want as per the skill.

(OOC: Yeah, Allie is better at the micro end of chatting it up than the macro--im other words, with a group of people as small as a single village's common room, she'd rather use Diplomacy separately on each person to ask them rather than use Gather Info which abstracts away and includes finding and knowing contacts and where they are located.

Not just because I like that skill use better for the situation--she's also much better at it (+6 vs +2) ;))

*Aletheia will chat up people at the inn, engaging in conversations and working to befriend people moreso than simply digging for information. Granted, she does add in requests about the shrine every once in a while, but she's also interested in each person, and she listens to them and remembers details about them. She'll be happy even if she gets no information if everyone in the room is her friend by the end of the evening.*

ooc: givien the limited dimensions of the situation (a single commonroom vs. an entire city) i'll grant you multiple diplomacy rolls instead of gather info. Roll 1 diplomacy each hour (using up extra time for getting to know people, chit chat, etc). I's about 7 or 8 o'clock in the evening btw.
