Break of Dawn [Manzanita judging] COMPLETED

*Aletheia chuckles good-naturedly.*

"Oh no, he's not. My name is Aletheia, and I am a healer. I am traveling and helping those in need as I find them..."

'All technically true.'

"...But that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun along the way, you know? My goddess believes that beauty, joy, and...pleasure are just as important as healing those in need."

"Tell me, what does a strong man like you do for a living?"

'If he is a woodsman, he might know where the shrine is...'

"A healer you say."..."Helping those in need?"..."Your Godess sounds like a wise one to me! Maybe we could have a little mass later on.. you an me ye know" He grins and winks at you. Meanwhile Zack returns with three drinks. "Now get the things ready Zack, he still gotta check some of those traps before tonight!"
"We be trappers mam, an i'm afraid we got to get back at trapping just after this here drink. Those critters don't trap themself you know.".

A large (not as in tall) man enters from the door the boy ran through earlier and instantly puts up a smile. "Well then. Welcome travelers to the Rising Sun! Lay down your feet to rest and enjoy a drink and a meal! My name is Orrin." He hastes himself to one of the tables and quickly wipes it off with a cloth. He pulls back one of the chairs and makes an inviting gesture "Please, sit down, i will get you all some drinks! Would you also like a meal? We have some lively pork roast!"

"A trapper, you say? Well, that's a strong, manly profession, though my elven friend over there will hope that you treat the animals with proper respect. He's a druid, you know? Oh, I'm sure you do--this town was once home to some of the greatest druids in the lands. Say, my friend is going on a pilgrimage to the druid shrine near here. Do you know how to get there?"

"That sounds delicious, Orrin. <Insert kid's name here> has told me about how wonderful <Is the cook here the innkeeper? His wife? Whichever> 's cooking is, and I'm eager to try it myself after a hard day's travel. I am Aletheia Evangeline, good sir, and I am a traveling healer. Would you like me to take a look at your mother for you?"

"Let it be noted that we arrived at Dawn... at dusk."

"And the paradox grows with the addition of the inn," adds Odno, "Since we're now in the Rising Sun, at Dawn, at dusk.". He lets Aletheia conduct the conversation, since she looks like how to handle it.

Ooc

Hey, guys, in the approval process for Eanos' new level, I found out I made a huge math error on weights. Eanos' haversack is totally overloaded with the full party materials (by 150 lbs). If we could redistribute (How much more can Mordik's Haversack hold? Is there room on some of the horses?), I'd appreciate it. Sorry 'bout that.

Quarion Holimion, Elven Druid

Quarion raises an eyebrow at Aletheia's promiscuous conduct, but remains silent. He nods when Aletheia names his calling.

When the innkeeper enters, Quarion turns to him and bows slightly. "Greetings to you, Orrin. I am Quarion, keeper of the forest. I seek the druid shrine in this region, as milady has just said. But we have traveled a long way, and I think some rest is in order. Have you any wine?"

Eanos finds himself mildly amused that the woman who seemed such a naive altruist back at the Red Dragon is so clearly full of guile here. He keeps his mouth shut, knowing his own abilities don't lie in deciept or manipulation. Instead, he keeps his ears open, trying to get a sense of the men, hoping to detect if they suspect Aletheia's playing them.

He smiles easily when the innkeeper suggests a meal. "Food and drink to wash away the road would be welcome." he says.

ooc: It was 66.5 with the items I had before picking up the hemp rope and trail rations and such...I honestly didn't recalculate and I've done it a few times with different results. I give up but if you'd like to look, here's my sheet: http://www.enworld.org/showpost.php?p=2454371&postcount=205

Mordik sits at the bar and smiles when Orrin enters, Not much a piece'ah pork roast and an ale couldn't cure. That'll be me order, please.
