One by one, you enter the room.
Once inside, you feel the hairs on the back of your neck rise as if something is watching you, closely.
Quarion looks into the pool and he spots a faint light emitting from at least thirty feat below the surface. The silver rim around is is made of a continueos solid piece of silver without any imperfection visible to the naked eye.
The water in the pool has a blueish taint to it which makes it harder to look through it beyond a certain depth.

Ally detects a lot of magic present in the room. There are aura's which eminate strong conjuration, multiple strong abjuration aura's, some faint evocation, and a faint illusion aura.
Most of these aura's are present in the entire room. Some are explicitly present on the silver ring (strong abjuration) and some are present within the ring (strong abjuration, stron conjuration).

And Conjurations, very strong, which may be summoning something powerful or else, if we are very very lucky, they might be the healing kind of conjuration. The ring in particular is a strong abjuration and may be holding something at bay within the circle--the silver in particular suggests a devil, particularly since inside of the ring is a strong conjuration and more strong abjuration bleeding off the ring. There's also a minor illusion and evocation, the latter of which may be the light."

Eanos quirks up his mouth. "If there are no more cryptic messages filling the room, I'm afraid we don't know what's being protected and against what," he says, "But we do have those rings from the pillow room that don't seem to have a use yet. Perhaps they're meant to bypass the protections this larger ring creates?"

Mordik takes a long look at the ring on the ground. I guess it's worth a try. Who...er...who knows how to swim? Mordik looks around, clearly the dwarf isn't meant to swim, his face seems to say.

Eanos furrows his brow. "Last time I went under, I nearly didn't come back up for air," he says, a note of unease sneaking into his voice.

"That said, I needn't carry armor or arms under the water to be able to defend myself, and this doesn't seem to be the dark underwater maze I encountered last time I 'took a dip.'

"We should at least make a cursory test, though..." so saying, the monk takes one of the berries from his bag and holds it up as if to throw into the pond. "Unless someone objects?"

I do. Y'said that was some sorta special berry? Why don't we throw a copper in. I dunna see m'self needin this single copper before we get back to our employer. Mordik takes a copper out of his bag and places it between two fingers.

"Hello? Is there anyone there who can hear my words? says aloud. He repeats the words in celestial, infernal and draconic languages.

Odno's words echo across the room, initially followed by silence.
But not lang after the echo's start dying away a voice answers in plain common: "Have you come for the amulet?" it asks in a high pitched voice.
You can't point out a clear origin of the voice as it echoes across the room.
