Can a rogue sneak attack the ghost of a gelatinous cube?

Gnome

I understand that more creatures are vulnerable to sneak attack now, but I didn't think that meant all creatures. The text does not give any exceptions, however. Is it just taken on a case-by-case basis based on the monster entry now, or what?

Further, if a creature is immune to critical hits, what would be the rationale for allowing sneak attack to still function?

Most things my be crited as well, save the things jadeit listed. If it can have a weak point then it may be crited and such if it does not then you can not.

Even golems and skeletons have weak spots after all

Guys I think what Gnome is getting at is: Where does it actually say this in the PFRPG book?

'casue I'm at work scanning through the PDF and I'm having a hard time finding where the exceptions to the Sneak Attack rule are.

My book is still shipping will see if I can find it in the PRD, but i am going off of the beta, and commets jason made on the paizo boards. This is known to be in there. will see if I can find it

It will be spelled out in detail in the monster book from what I recall

Yeah I remember Jason's comments as well, but I cant for the life of me find them in this book. They're not under the sneak attack class ability entry under rogue and I checked the index under immunity and sneak attack and came up short.

The Incorporeal entry covers it's immunity to sneak attacks indirectly:

Incorporeal: Creatures with the incorporeal condition do not have a physical body. Incorporeal creatures are immune to all nonmagical attack forms. Incorporeal creatures take half damage (50%) from magic weapons, spells, spell-like effects, and supernatural effects. Incorporeal creatures take full damage from other incorporeal creatures and effects, as well as all force effects.

But there's not entry detailing an oozes immunity. You'd think that would all be one place: like under the sneak attack entry.

I think the immunities will be specified in the creature subtype descriptions of the Beastiary due out in October. In the preview, we have the description of the Elemental subtype where it is clearly specified that they are immune to precision damage including sneak attack (page 6, 1st column, second bullet under Elemental subtype).

Correct; the Bestiary will have the full skinny on what can and can't be sneak attacked. The short version, though, is that incorporeal creatures, oozes, and elementals (as in earth/air/fire/water) cannot be sneak attacked.
